Another HISD Campus closed over winter-break.
They tried to keep it out of the newspapers and the media.

Houston ISD closed the High School DAEP alternative disciplinary campus a few months ago, in December of 2025. The High School disciplinary cases now share a campus with Middle School children.
All the High School students (ranging up to age 18) were squeezed into HISD's 'Secondary DAEP' for grades 6-8 (starting in January 2026).

The district closed the campus in November, moving all of its students and some staff to its secondary disciplinary alternative campus near Houston's Fifth Ward.

Houston City Council Member Edward Pollard is asking Mayor John Whitmire to formally invite Houston ISD’s Superintendent Mike Miles to appear before City Council following the district’s recent proposal to close 12 schools.

I've asked the mayor's office if they received Pollard's letter and if they'll invite Miles

HISD Superintendent Mike Miles is set to recommend multiple HISD school closures at Thursday’s board meeting, KPRC 2 News has learned.

Multiple sources tell KPRC 2 News that principals were notified of possible closures this afternoon ahead of the board meeting.

We do not know which schools are up for consideration.

We have just been informed by a Houston ISD whistle-blower that at TONIGHT'S HISD Board Meeting, they will be Publicly Announcing that 12 HISD Schools will be Closed (consolidated with other schools). And yes, we know that This Was NOT Published on the Public Agenda (most likely to prevent massive angry Parent Turnout from tonight's meeting).
