Rooted Interiors had the opportunity to share our mission with CBS Atlanta and, even more importantly, to help tell the story of one of the families we’ve had the privilege of serving.

This work has never been just about furniture. It’s about helping families experience dignity, stability, belonging, and the feeling that comes with finally being able to say, “We’re home.”

We’re so grateful for the chance to bring more awareness to this mission and to the community that makes it possible.

After experiencing addiction, prison, and homelessness, a Georgia family was able to buy their first house. Thanks to a nonprofit, they can start their new lives with fully-furnished rooms.

We had the opportunity to share our mission, sit down with one of the families we previously rooted in Jefferson, Ga and share a little more about what happens after a family receives the keys—and why creating a true sense of home matters.

We’re so grateful to this family for being willing to share their incredible story and to everyone in our community who continues to make these moments possible.

Those smiles seeing their transformed room for the first time 🤩💕

Two sisters walked into what had been an empty bedroom and found a space created completely with them in mind—a place to sleep, play, grow, and feel at home.

This room came together because a village showed up. From a Girl Scout troop setting up the room to Sleep in Heavenly Peace of Jackson County building the bunkbed to Kares 4 Kids providing a teddy bear and every person who helped with the details, so many hands made this moment possible.

Every child deserves a space that says, “You belong here.”

This weekend, an empty room became a place for two sisters to rest, dream, play, and simply feel at home.

A little design, a lot of love, and a community willing to show up can change so much. 🏡✨

Our goal at last night’s Welcome Home Gala was to complete the floor plan. 🏡💚

Every piece placed on this floor plan represents something that will go into a real family’s home.

Don’t just see a bed—picture the child who will sleep in it.

Don’t just see a dining table—picture the family gathering around it for dinner, homework, birthdays and ordinary Tuesday nights.

Don’t just see a couch—picture the mom who finally gets to sit down, look around and think, “We’re home.”

Can we get 4 people to complete the $50 level today? 🙌

Today, our ED, board members and intern at Rooted Interiors had the opportunity to attend the Kirby Smart Family Foundation’s 2026 Giving Day, a donor advised fund administered by the Athens Area Community Foundation, and we walked away reminded of just how much can happen when a community chooses generosity.

Every organization may serve differently, but we’re all working toward something bigger than ourselves—stronger families, stronger communities, and lives changed for the better.

Kirby Smart and Mary Beth Smart, thank you both for your kindness and for the incredible ways you continue to pour into communities across Georgia. ❤️ What a blessing!
