Last, but certainly not least. Charla McGuire, aka fearless co-leader to many a trip since 2005. While, she is not on the board, Charla has spent many days and hours committed to the mission of For the Love as she has co-lead dozens of trips, fundraised for scholarships and captured the hearts of many to serve as she recounts Gods mighty works in the mission field. We thank you for all the love you have shared and the countless hours you have served. Have Passport, will travel.

Help us celebrate these two incredible sisters who serve side by side in the indigenous regions of Guatemala, dedicating their lives to social work and community development. They too, partner with For the Love through providing scholarships, education programs while mentoring children, they are working to break cycles of poverty and create lasting opportunities for the next generation. 📚🌱
Their teamwork, compassion, and vision bring hope where it’s needed most. 💙 Together, Rosy and Ana are showing what it means to lead as strong, bold, educated women who love and commit to serving their community in the name of Jesus.

🌎✨ Today we want to celebrate a dear friend and incredible leader in Guatemala!
Not only does he and his family serve tirelessly in the indigenous regions of Guatemala through community development and scholarship programs, but he also runs his own extreme adventure company, Wild Guatemala. 🏔️🚙🌿
He is truly all things—translator, protector, concierge, driver, tour guide, and ultimate adventure connoisseur. His heart for the people and passion for adventure create unforgettable experiences while also investing deeply into the lives of students and communities. 💙
We are beyond grateful for his leadership, friendship, and the countless ways he is making a difference. 🙌✨

We can not say enough that would honor and highlight Aury, her husband Eddie and their amazing sons along with her brother/ministry partner, Fito and his wife Nancy and their beloved daughters as some of our incredible local leaders serving in the Landavair, Guatemala City Dump (Zona 3).
Through their tireless efforts, they partner with For the Love to provide scholarship opportunities for students, empowering them to pursue education instead of falling into the cycles of generational poverty from working in the dump. Their love and dedication to mentor each student in the name of Jesus has not only transformed all of us who have served, but has exponentially shifted the landscape of these childrens lives and the legacy’s they will leave behind.
Their leadership is not only transforming individual lives but also shaping the future of their community. Together, we proudly stand with Aury, Eddie, Fito and Nancy as they bring hope, dignity, and opportunity to the next generation. 💙📚

✨Meet the Board of For the Love of Missions.
We are honored to introduce ourselves as the current Board of Directors at For the Love of Missions 501(c)(3) nonprofit. We are dedicated to serving communities in Guatemala through missions of hope, education, and development. Our board is made up of passionate leaders who bring diverse experience, wisdom, and a shared heart for service. Together, we desire to provide vision, accountability, and guidance to ensure our work remains impactful, sustainable, and true to our mission.
Each member of our board serves not only as a steward of this organization but also as an ambassador of compassion—bridging communities, fostering relationships, and helping us expand our reach.

Tami O’Connor/President- as a charter member of For the Love, Tami has served on the board since its inception in 2011. Her heart has been sold out for all things Guatemala since 2008 when she went on her first mission trip. Her desire has been to be fully surrendered as a vessel for what God is doing in Guatemala through For the Love’s mission. She brings a deep love for intentional relationships, which helps facilitate & bridge service opportunities for missions internationally.

Shannon Marciano/Treasurer - immediately fell in love with Gods mission at For the Love in 2014 when she joined a team for her first mission trip to Guatemala. She felt an instant tug at her heart to jump right in and serve on the board, which she has been an intragal part of ever since. Shannon’s vast knowledge of all things business has been an incredible asset in helping facilitate For the Love’s strategic decisions, leading us to opportunities for Gods abundance to multiply.

Kimberlee Luebke/ Secretary - eagerly joined the board in 2018 after serving in multiple capacities internationally and locally for several years after her first trip in 2015. Kimberlee’s deep trust in the word has been foundational in helping keep For the love focused on Gods mission as she is not only a prayer warrior like none other, she also brings a bold approach to sound Biblical principles.

Lisa Giles/Honorary Chair Board Member- as one of For the love’s newest board members in 2025, Lisa is no stranger to the organization. As a staple to many mission teams since her first missiom trip in 2014, Lisa has served graciously in countless ways, from fundraising to administrative duties. Lisa’s mad banking skills has equipped her to serve this ministry in some on the most quentisential ways possible. We look forward to seeing how God is going to use her to grow His mission.

As a team, this board works faithfully behind the scenes to ensure that every mission trip, outreach program, and community partnership reflects the values of integrity, stewardship, and love for our Guatemalan brothers and sisters.
We are deeply grateful for their leadership and for the countless hours they dedicate to guiding our mission.

Hey Friends of For the Love of Missions. Its been awhile since we have posted or shared what God has been doing in our ministry. During Covid all of our board members walked through some life altering experiences as many of you know. So many changes occurred that we even considered shutting down the ministry, BUT GOD! After much prayer and seeking God’s direction for this ministry, He not only asked us to continue what He started but He challenged us with a fresh vision and an even grander mission. We are excited about this new chapter of For the Love of Missions and all that He has laid on our hearts. In this season of rest, God has done abundantly more than we could have ever imagined through the support of our local leaders in Guatemala. As people who have been a part of our journey or desire to be apart of future endeavors, be on the look out for all updates and opportunities on our social media and newsletters. We look forward to sharing all that God has in store for us. For the Love 💙

Hey Friends! Come join us in praying and showing our love to all those on the front line and those who are sick 😷 We are meeting at 8pm tomorrow night at the Braselton Hospital. Turn on your lights and let’s pray in unity for Gods Healing and Endurance for the “Helpers” who are sacrificing endlessly 💗🙏

Saturday March 28 at 8pm lets come together at the hospital in Braselton to pray for all of the doctors, nurses and staff who are working tirelessly. We will remain in our cars socially distanced. Let's show them that we appreciate and support them. Headlights on praying as a community. The Love Truck will be there playing worship music. ❤💗

Be sure to stop at a local restaurant on the way for curbside/takeout to also support our local businesses. We are all in this together. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

Please bring bottled drinks and individually wrapped snacks to leave for the hospital staff.
