St. John Paul II called the world to build a “culture of life” in his encyclical Evangelium Vitae. He also had a special love for young people, establishing World Youth Day to bring a new generation together in faith and inspire them to follow Christ.

His example continues to inspire our mission. At Chesterton, we have embraced the motto Cultura Vitae—a culture of life. We seek to prepare our students to resist the materialism and despair of our age and embrace Christ’s promise of life in abundance.
