Hopkins Safe Streets for All Plan aims to:

• Work towards zero traffic deaths and serious injuries for all roadways in the City of Hopkins
• Identify projects and policies to improve safe travel for people walking, biking, rolling, taking public transit and driving
• Seek community input on challenges and opportunities for traveling safely in Hopkins
• Update the City’s Pedestrian and Bicycle Plan
• Create a Safe Routes to School Plan for schools within the City and key routes in Hopkins heading out toward the middle and high schools
• Be ready for implementation of infrastructure improvements

Curious about the METRO Green Line Extension that will connect Minneapolis to Eden Prairie next year? On Tuesday, July 28, from 3:00 to 5:00 PM, the METRO Green Line Extension LRT Project, SouthWest Transit, and the City of Eden Prairie will host an Eden Prairie Transit Trolley Tour.

Participants will meet at SouthWest Station at 2:45 PM. Free parking is available directly at the station. The trolley is ADA accessible; please indicate in the sign-up form if you require accommodations so that staff can plan accordingly.

Just next to Hopkins, the Lone Lake Single-track Mountain Bike Park celebrates 5 years on May 30!

Can you believe it's been 5 years already?!
Come out and join us as we celebrate this great milestone. Saturday, May 30 from 10am to 1pm, at the Lone Lake Park Picnic Shelter.
We'll be hosting a group ride at 10:30, and we'll grill some food, enjoy some cold beverages on hand, and hang out with some good people. You can meet the trail crew, and find out for yourself what it takes to keep the trail rolling so smooth.

With five major bike trails, lots of everyday amenities within walking distance, and good transit options (that will be even better next year when the Green Line Extension opens), Hopkins offers good transportation options instead of automatically reaching for the car keys for every trip. Since the start of the war with Iran at the end of February, gas prices have risen from around $2.80 to over $4. The spike in fuel costs have encouraged Minnesotans to look for other ways to get around.
