It’s MALTA MONDAY!

A few years ago, we moved our Member Resources from our public-facing website to behind MALTA member login. This includes applications for Cancer Grants, steps to host Family Freedom Festivals, a guide to contacting legislators, the National Home virtual campus tour, the Podium Book: Bylaws & Ritual, Building on the Auxiliary Foundation, sample press releases, links to video tutorials and much more.

On July 1, 2026, we updated MALTA for the 2026-2027 Program Year, which means you can find the new Program Book, press releases for scholarships and contests, award information, Ambassador bios and more.

Two weeks ago, we added the latest Podium Edition: Bylaws & Ritual book to MALTA Member Resources featuring all of the updates from the 2026 National Convention.

Check them out today!

And if you have specific questions for us to answer on this or future Mondays, comment below or email us at [email protected] with the subject line MALTA Mondays.

THE FREEDOMS WE ENJOY. THE GENERATIONS WHO DEFENDED THEM.

We wake up each morning and go about our lives, often without thinking about the freedoms that are part of our everyday existence.

The freedom to speak our minds.
The freedom to worship according to our beliefs.
The freedom to gather with those we love.
The freedom to pursue our dreams.
The freedom to have a voice in our nation's future.

These freedoms are woven into the fabric of America. They're part of our Constitution, our history, and the ideals our nation continues striving to uphold.

But protecting those ideals has required extraordinary sacrifice.

For generations, Americans have raised their right hands, put on a uniform, and made a promise to defend this country and its Constitution.

They came from small towns and big cities. Different backgrounds, different beliefs, different generations.

Some served in times of war. Others stood ready in times of peace.

All answered a call greater than themselves.

🇺🇸 This Veterans Day season, we encourage you to think about the freedoms you experience every day and the men and women who have served to protect our nation.

Not just on November 11. Not just when the flag is flying or the anthem is playing.

But in the ordinary moments we sometimes take for granted.

To every Veteran who answered that call:

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SACRIFICES.
THANK YOU FOR HELPING DEFEND THE FREEDOMS WE CHERISH.

WE'RE GRATEFUL YOU'RE HERE.

Because One Day Isn't Enough to Say Thank You.

🇺🇸 What freedom are you especially grateful for? We'd love to hear your thoughts.

🇺🇸 **Happy National First Responders Day!** 🇺🇸

Today, Jacob J. Pearson VFW Post 637 would like to extend our deepest gratitude and appreciation to the brave men and women who dedicate their lives to protecting and serving our communities.

To our **firefighters, law enforcement officers, EMTs, paramedics, dispatchers, and all first responders** — THANK YOU!

Thank you for answering the call, no matter the hour. Thank you for running toward danger when others are running away. Thank you for the sacrifices you make, the families who share you with our communities, and the countless lives you touch through your courage, compassion, and selflessness.

As veterans, we understand the meaning of service, sacrifice, and putting others before ourselves. We recognize that the uniform you wear represents far more than a profession. It represents a commitment to protecting others, often on their most difficult days.

We also recognize that behind every uniform is a human being — a mother, father, spouse, son, daughter, friend, or neighbor. Someone who carries the weight of what they have witnessed while continuing to show up for others.

**Your service does not go unnoticed, your sacrifices are not forgotten, and your dedication is deeply appreciated.**

From all of us at **Jacob J. Pearson VFW Post 637**, thank you for everything you do to keep our families, neighborhoods, and communities safe.

May you always return home safely to those who love you.

**We salute you today and every day!** 🇺🇸
