Keep100Warm '24 was remarkable
Three dozen coats went to western NC
Three dozen to a food pantry whose volunteer handling their own kids coat drive had a personal crisis and no one was there to pick it up (a work friend asked about K-100-W in a chance conversation at the coffee machine.)
Coats went to our established school partners and (as you probably already know) we picked a new school partner in a high need area.
Our network of social workers has been picking up and distributing coats to the families they've identified and requested for.
I plan to make deliveries to additional partners this week.
All this to say that we will have given nearly 500 coats this year when we wrap up Keep100Warm '24. We have never had such an impact.
And here I stop saying "we" and I start saying "you"... your compassion, your generosity, your kindness, your heart and hope for things that make the world a better place.. YOU! make this happen
This is not false modesty - i understand my role.
Every year my heart is touched in amazing ways because of the love that flows from all of you, thru my kitchen (oh the bags n boxes!), thru our partners to these families, these children who need so much more than coats... but because of you, a coat is no longer one of those needs.

Maybe we can't change the whole world.....but our corner will be a little warmer!
