Another step closer to Eagle! Thursday I met representatives from the hospital and was able to drop off the blankets that were made. They were so grateful and couldn't believe how many boxes were needed for 50 blankets. The blankets were placed in storage, they have to quarantine before patients can start receiving them. Now, I have to tackle the paperwork.

First Eagle Scout work day! I will be having work days for the next 3 Sundays from 11am- 1pm outside my house. Let me know if you are interested. Great way to earn service hours for school, church and Scouts.

Hi Everyone!

Due to what is going on at the current time I have "sort of" put my Eagle Scout project on the back burner. I was currently at the fundraising stage of my my project when the Coronavirus hit the US. Due to the Covid-19 I have put fundraising on hold. I do want to thank the people who have dontated to my project with cash donations and fabric.

That said, I wanted to do something in the meantime for the hospital. I suggested to my Boy Scout Troop that we make cards for the patients and staff at the hospital. Shortly after that suggestion I found out that patients could not receive anything from people outside the hospital. Next best thing....

My Boy Scout Troop is making cards for the staff at Hackettstown Hospital. I am reaching out to see if anyone in our community would like to create cards for the staff at Hackettstown Hospital for their hard work and dedication to fighting this virus.

I will begin collecting the cards on Tuesday, April 28 between 4:15p.m. to 8:00p.m. I will continue collecting until all cards are collected. My hope is to have all cards collected by next Sunday.

I will also be placing a plastic bin next to my mailbox if you would like to drop the card(s) off.

If you would like to make a card to thank the staff of Hackettstown Hiosital please reach out to me through my mom's page or leave a comment here and I will reach out to you.

The cards need to be placed in placed covers or Ziplock bags so the staff can wipe them down and help contain the virus.

Also, if you would like to make lawn signs for the hospital, I will be collecting them too. Just let me know.

Please share this post. I would love to be able to drop off a bunch of cards for all the all workers who are keeping our health system going.

Please get in touch with me via email, text or my mom's page, etc... if you made any cards (etc...), so I can get your address and pick up your cards.

Also, please contact me if you have any questions.

Thank you.

YIS,

Andrew

Scouting has taught me a lot of things.
Day 5...leadership has taught me to always have a plan B. Things do not always go as planned. Today I was suppose to start decimating information to the community about my Eagle Scout project, that did not happen. Plan B- spend a few hours each day hand delivering letters to homes in my community. No worries- I will be leaving them in the doors of homes and not ringing doorbells. I am keeping myself distanced from homeowners, I want everyone to be safe and stay healthy.

What do I need I was asked the other day. Money and fabric right now. I need 400 yards of fleece. Joann Fabrics have weekly sales. We downloaded the app and received a coupon for 25% our total purchase! I looked online and found a coupon for 40% off 1 regular priced item.
If you would like to donate fleece (any design) I can pick it up.

Donations do not need to be just monetary. If you would like to donate fleece, any design, that would be great. If you ate crafty and would like to make a fleece blanket to donate that would be wonderful. If you have spare time and you would like to come and make fleece blankets on a work day in the future that would be amazing.
