Get a free native tree!!!

Get ready to celebrate our leafy friends at the 5th Annual Love Your Trees Day! 🌳✨
Join the Homewood Environmental Commission and local experts for a free family-friendly event focused on boosting our local canopy and ecosystem.
• When: Saturday, November 7th, 2026
• What: Free native trees for Homewood residents, tree swag, coffee, fall treats, kids’ planting activities, and expert tips!
• How to get your tree: Register online in advance for one tree per Homewood property (first-come, first-served on species/sizes ranging from 3- to 7-gallon containers). You’ll need to get your event card stamped by at least 4 community partners on-site, and in-person attendance is required (you may want to bring a truck or trailer for transport!).
👉 Register Today via the Love Your Trees Day Eventbrite Page. Link is in our bio.
(Tip: Do your homework before picking your tree! Check your yard’s sunlight, soil moisture, space away from utility lines, and your capacity to care for a young tree through its first year.)

I'm sure a number of houses in Hollywood qualify!

Do you live in a 100+ year old Homewood house? We would love to hear from you and include your home as part of the Centennial story! If you have already submitted, no need to do again. https://bit.ly/431vrjD

As a reminder, Homewood turns 100 this year! We have a dedicated Centennial page on our website with events, stories, and helpful information (https://bit.ly/3ZBOmQg). The Homewood Chamber of Commerce has also created a special Centennial edition focused on this milestone (https://bit.ly/4uZFt0w).
