Oakland Community Health Network’s Mobile Crisis Team provides support to individuals experiencing a mental health crisis in Oakland County.

Our trained crisis professionals can help assess the situation, provide support, connect you with resources, and determine the next steps for care.

While certain phrases may be said out of frustration, habit, or even good intentions, they can leave lasting impressions on a child's confidence, emotions, and sense of self. This isn't just for parents - grandparents, caregivers, teachers, coaches, and any adult who interacts with children can benefit from choosing words thoughtfully. Instead of using phrases that dismiss feelings, shame mistakes, or discourage communication, we can focus on language that builds connection, understanding, and trust. Small shifts in how we respond can have a big impact on a child's emotional well-being.
