Hobart Firefighters IAFF Local 1641 provided free meals to those in need on Sunday as the community recovers from powerful storms that tore across Northwest Indiana.

With many families still without power and working to clean up after last week's severe weather, Local 1641 wanted to provide some relief and make sure neighbors had a hot meal and other necessities.

Great job by these Local 1641 members for stepping up and helping their community when it needed it most!

It was a great opportunity to give back in a time of need to a community that has shown us nothing but love and support. Local 1641 has always believed that being apart of this community means more than just answering the call—it means standing beside our friends and neighbors when they need us most. We were honored to do our small part today and help bring a little relief during a difficult time to the community we are PROUD to serve!!
