Scam Alert: Fraudulent Emails Impersonating ECRAC Leadership

We’ve been made aware of a fraudulent email circulating that falsely claims to be from the East Central Regional Arts Council (ECRAC) Board Chair. The message requests the purchase of gift cards for COVID-related donations and is not legitimate.

ECRAC will never ask for financial assistance or gift card purchases via personal email. In fact, ECRAC never asks for donations at all. If you receive a suspicious message claiming to be from ECRAC or its leadership, do not respond. Instead, forward the message to Executive Director Mary Minnick-Daniels
at [email protected]

We are taking steps to report the incident and protect our community. Thank you to those who flagged the message and helped us respond quickly.

Stay safe and vigilant,
East Central Regional Arts Council
