WASHINGTON, D.C., July 26–28, 2026 — At a moment when many Americans feel divided and frustrated with politics, local volunteers with grassroots climate advocacy organization Citizens’ Climate Lobby (CCL) are traveling to Washington, D.C., to show another path forward: respectful dialogue, civic engagement, and working across differences to advance climate and clean energy solutions.

As the United States commemorates its 250th anniversary this year, two volunteers from Hawaii will participate in the organization’s 2026 Summer Conference and Lobby Day, joining hundreds of citizen lobbyists from across the country to meet directly with members of Congress and their staff on Capitol Hill.

The 2026 Hawaii Legislature is still in session, and critical climate priorities are still in play. Our special guests are the people writing the testimony and working the halls to keep these bills alive. Come hear directly from them, ask questions, and find out how you can help push them across the finish line.

On January 21, CCL members participated in the 2026 Hawai’i State Legislature in Honolulu.

This day marked the start of the 33rd Legislature and it was an opportunity for members of the community to meet with legislative officials and learn about other local organizations.

Last November and December volunteers participated in the CCL Fall Lobby Meetings. They meet staff from the offices of , , and to discuss climate solutions.
