Applications are now open for the 4th Annual Grounds for Art Fest in High Bridge, NJ!

This year, we’re transforming public spaces into bold, immersive works of community-driven art and we want YOU to be part of it.

📍 Saturday, Sept. 12, 2026
🕐 1–6 PM
📍 1 Washington Avenue, High Bridge, NJ

Grounds for Art is more than an art festival. It’s a collaborative, volunteer-powered celebration of creativity, storytelling, experimentation, and community connection. From murals and sculpture to performance and interactive installations, artists help shape the voice and visual identity of our town.

We’re looking for artists, makers, performers, collaborators, and creative thinkers for:

🎨 Window Murals on the historic TISCO building
🔗 Fenceline Art Installations
🌀 Sculpture Garden & Free-Standing Works
🎭 Performance & Stage Collaborations
🛍️ Artist Vendor Tables
👥 Workshops & Community Projects

Basic materials including plywood and primer will be provided.

How fun!

The Borough of High Bridge Touch-A-Truck event is Friday, May 15, 2026 at Union Forge Park! This is a great opportunity for kids and families to get up close and explore emergency vehicles, meet your local first responders, and enjoy a fun evening in the community.

Featuring:
* High Bridge Fire Department
* High Bridge Police Department
* South Branch Emergency Services
* High Bridge DPW
* OEK Landscaping

Time: 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Location: Union Forge Park

Bring the family, invite your friends, and come out for a great night with your local emergency services!

Art Around High Bridge… what a week. What a community. What a team.

Events like this might look effortless when you’re walking through town, but behind the scenes is a group of people giving their time, creativity, and energy to make something truly special happen.

A huge thank you to our volunteers who do so much behind the scenes:

Pia, your calm nerves and brain keeps everything grounded.
Kirsten, your ability to organize chaos is unmatched.
Evan, your artistic vision brings it all to life.
Karyn, always ready to jump in and help with anything and everything.
Charlotte and Matt, you continue to elevate the professionalism of our art projects and marketing.
Cheryn, your connection to the community is at the heart of it all.
Will… we’re still not sure how you do all of this while raising three young girls but thank you for all your tech skills.
Maria, our newest volunteer, thank you for jumping in headfirst, it's like you were always a part of our team.
Curtis and Coleen- As High Bridge council people, we couldn't do this event without Borough partnership and assistance.

And to all of our incredible drop-in volunteers, artists, businesses, and supporters who make, create, donate, and show up when it matters most… thank you. Truly.

This first year couldn’t have been more fun to build together, and it’s only the beginning.
