NCPAL Summer League Championship Results, 8/13
Two teams that didn't play each other in the summer. Two teams who made runs at the end of the Summer to make it to the Championship Game. Two teams that had yet to win an NCPAL Championship.
An exciting game:
NS 54 LB 50
Both teams mixed up their defenses using a full court press in the 4th.
NS jumped out to a14-9 1st quarter lead. NS was led by Del Neal with 7 points before he got hurt. Mikey Wi******er added 5. Both players hit 3's. LB had 5 players scoring 2 points. Xavier Straub, Drew Kaufman, Andy Conteh, Jason Trahan & Zack Brymer.
An exciting match up during the game was that the best players of each team guarded each other. NS's Paulos Papantoniou guarded LB's Zack Brymer. The 2 players went head to head aganist
other throughout the game.
LB came back in the 2nd quarter outscoring NS 15-12 in the 2nd. NS's lead was cut to 2, 26-24 at the half. LB's Kaufman hit a 3 & Brymer added 6. Conteh & Trajan both hit a 2. NS's James Clancy hit 2 3's for 6 & Elijah Comey scored 5.
NS scored 9 of its 16 points from the line in the 3rd quarter. NS shot 9 for 11 from the line. NS's Papantoniou shot 4 for 5 & Comey shot 2 for 2 from the line. Papantoniou hit 2 3's in the 3rd. LB's scoring was done by Trahan with 5 & Brymer with 4.
LB came back in the 4th quarter, outscoring NS 15-10. LB's comeback was led by Brymer who scored 11, on drives to the hoop & hitting a 3.. LB pressed & decided to play the foul game . LB was able to cut the lead to 2 with under a minute to go. NS's Comey shot 2 for 2 from the line & Wi******er scored on 2 breakaway layups to hold off LB. LB had a chance to tie it at 50 but missed.
LB's Zack Brymer scored 22. Zack was LB's MVP.
NS had 2 players in double figures: Elijah Comey with 14 & Paulos Papantoniou 15. Paulos was named NS's MVP.

'26 NCPAL Semifinal Hoop Playoff Results, 8/12 Wed.
NS 72 MacArthur 47
NS jumped out to a 17-10 1st quarter lead. NS's scoring was done by Elijah Comey with 4 & Paulos Papantoniou 7. MacArthur's scoring was done by Ethan Shapiro with 7 & Calvin Chen hit a 3.
Both teams opened up in a man to man d. MacArthur switched to a 2.1.2 zone d. NS set up a 1.3.1 set to attack it.
NS exploded for 22 points in the 2nd quarter, holding MacArthur to 10 points. NS's Mickey Wi******er scored 7 points on breakaway layups. Papantoniou added 8. MacArthur's Ivan Adames scored 3 & Ivan Adames scored 2. NS led at the half 39-20 at the half.
NS continued to dominate in the 3rd quarter. NS outscored MacArthur 18-11 in the 3rd.
NS's Del Neal scored 7 , Papantoniou added 5 & Wi******er 4. MacArthur's Raj Singh heated up in the 3rd, scoring 7 & Adames added 2. NS took a 57-31 lead going into the 3rd.
MacArthur would outscore NS 16-15 in the 4th with Raj Singh scoring 12 points, hitting 2 3's. Shapiro & Matt Kobrin both scored 2. NS had 3 players score 4 each in the 4th: Neal, Comey & Wi******er to hold off MacArthur for the win.
MacArthur had 2 players in double figures: Ethan Shapiro 10 & Raj Singh 22.
NS had 4 players in double figures: Elijah Comey with 11 & great board work, Del Neal 13, Mickey Wi******er 17 & Paulos Papantoniou 21.
NS plays LB in the final tonight at 7:00pm.

LB took an 18-13 1st quarter lead. LB's attack was led by Xavier with 12 of his game high 24 points. He hit 2 3's & shot 3 for 4 from the line. LB's Zach Brymer added 4. NHP had 4 players score. Bhav Singh & & Jonathan Mahes each had 4, Dilpreet Singh hit a 3 & Robby Reyes 2.
LB's tough man to man d held NHP to 11 in the 2nd quarter. LB would score 18. Straub
scored 4 & Brymer added 5. NHP's scoring was done by Dilpreet Singh with 7 & Reyes hit a 3. LB led 36-24 at the half.
NHP fought back in the 3rd quarter. NHP outscored LB 21-19. NHP used a full court press to get back in the game. Dilpreet Singh & Robby Reyes both scored 4, Branden Bell & Bhav Singh threw in 5. LB's Straub dropped 5 & Brymer added 5.
NHP cut LB's lead to 9 after 3, 55-46.
NHP was able to cut LB's lead to 7 by forcing turnovers & getting steals but LB was able to hold NHP off for the win. Brymer scored 4 on break away layups & Straub scored 3.
NHP had 2 players in double figures:Bhav Singh 12 & Dilpreet Singh 14.
LB had 2 players in double figures: Zach Brymer 17 & Xavier Straub 24.
