Linn, Benton, Delaware, & Jones County Farm Bureau’s co-hosted a Young Farmer Social on June 11th at the Linn County Fairgrounds. This event was hosted to bring the young farmers from neighboring counties altogether! Everyone was able to network while playing in a bags tournament and other yard games. A couple board members from each county were also in attendance to answer any questions about Farm Bureau! A big thank you to everyone that helped plan this event and to everyone who attended, it was a blast!

Linn County’s FINAL T-Bone Tuesday winner is Kim Hayes! Congratulations Kim!

U.S. meat is the most sustainable in the world—and that includes beef. 🥩

Beef cattle contribute less than 4% of the nation’s greenhouse gases while providing more than 28 billion pounds of meat. But farmers won’t stop there—they continue to work with feed specialists and researchers to find ways to reduce emissions even further.

Each Tuesday in May, Fareway Stores Marion & Fareway Stores Lisbon shoppers had the chance to win a pack of T-Bone steaks, courtesy of Linn County Farm Bureau & Linn County Cattlemen!

Think skipping steak will save the planet? Here’s the real story on how American farmers are leading the way in low-impact beef and dairy—and why your burger might be greener than you think.

It was a great year for our Ag in the Classroom program!

Ag in the Classroom had a wonderful 2025-2026 school year!

Linn County Education Outreach was able to reach over 10,000 students through a variety of activities- AITC monthly lessons, Ag in the Park, chicken hatching, career day, & more! With each of these interactions, students were able to learn about the important role that agriculture plays in our lives. These hands-on experiences help spark curiosity & increase agriculture literacy!

Thank you to all of the teachers who welcomed our Ag in the Classroom program into their classrooms. It was such a joy getting to connect with all of the students and staff. Already looking forward to next year!

Linn County’s second T-Bone Tuesday winner is Charles Toche! Congratulations Charles!

Meat, particularly beef, delivers the most vitamin B12 intake globally. Beef is also an excellent source of iron and zinc. These vitamins and minerals are needed for energy, immunity and overall physical and cognitive function. 💪🧠

Linn County’s third T-Bone Tuesday winner is Renae Pate! Congratulations Renae!

Today’s cattle feed is precisely formulated to give animals the nutrients and minerals they need at every stage of life. Researchers have also helped farmers improve feed rations to promote animal health while minimizing environmental impact. 🐮🌎
