This evening instead of our normal meeting we took a hike around Grant Park. Our parent took us around and pointed out all the animals, rabbits, 🐇 turtles, 🐢 ducks 🦆 and frogs🐸. We learned about nature and did a bit of cleaning up on our walk back. The kids picked up garbage and earned a patch! The kids even found a robin’s egg. 🪺

Tonight was a lovely night to have our Blue and Gold Banquet and awards ceremony. We had a lovely evening of celebrating the kids and their achievements and handing out their merit badges. Our theme was a basketball ball one chosen by our scout crossing over to the troops. We wish Jacob all the best with his new troops.

The cold weather didn’t stop us from celebrating Scout Sunday. We attended mass at Trinity St. John. The sermon today touched on being kind and inspiring to make the world a better place through the Scout Law.

Last night we hosted our annual Pinewood Derby for Pack 20! We tried something different. Our theme this year was Glow. So we had black lights, glow decorations and light up accessories. It was really cool to see and the kids had an amazing time. It’s awesome to see them create a car and then watch it race. Jackson from the Bears Den took first place. 🥇

Our scouts made over 200 handmade cards that were delivered to an assisted living home by our two cute little cubs. The kids worked hard on their cards. Today they were delivered with smiles.
