Another beautiful day! Rain Gutter Regatta Day! Today we made sail boats out of recycled water bottles and raced them! The kids decorated their sails and raced away. After our races we had a relay race where the kids had to fill a big water jug with a sponge. Team A won! Then the kids played Gaga Ball and we had Tug O War. It was a lot of fun. We also threw biodegradable paintballs at each other….. and I went all Rambo on the kids who took it to serious 🤪 needless save I did not leave unscathed and the kids couldn’t believe I participated. Lastly we slip and slided. Our theme this year was sharks 🦈

Saturday threatened us with rain but that didn’t stop us from celebrating our scouts. We had our end of the year party/awards ceremony. Our theme was a Luau. We had blow up games and many other games. The VFW awarded some of our scouts and donated to our Pack. We also gave our last merit awards and handed out rank patches. All in all we had a great party

Pack 20 went to the Scouts night at the Cyclones game. What an amazing evening! It was complete with a hat giveaway at the gate, 🌧️ rain, rainbow 🌈 and the cyclones winning! 🥇 The scouts even walked the field before the game. Exciting! The kids were given another hat and a patch with their ticket and a comic book. What a great night for giveaways! The rain did not stop us. We had a blast! 💥

Learn about Scouting in America!

This evening instead of our normal meeting we took a hike around Grant Park. Our parent took us around and pointed out all the animals, rabbits, 🐇 turtles, 🐢 ducks 🦆 and frogs🐸. We learned about nature and did a bit of cleaning up on our walk back. The kids picked up garbage and earned a patch! The kids even found a robin’s egg. 🪺

Tonight was a lovely night to have our Blue and Gold Banquet and awards ceremony. We had a lovely evening of celebrating the kids and their achievements and handing out their merit badges. Our theme was a basketball ball one chosen by our scout crossing over to the troops. We wish Jacob all the best with his new troops.
