RJ had his bloodwork after another night of flushing his kidneys and there is some improvement to one of his numbers. Tomorrow they are going to take him off of fluids and he will be on a kidney diet.
He may be able to be discharged tomorrow. There is HOPE!💖

Update on RJ: There is not much improvement and now there is something about his bone marrow going on, but he is eating and in good spirits and not suffering so the vet will continue to try to get him through this.
We are all rooting for him.

He spent some time outside today with Jakki Long

I will update tomorrow afternoon when he gets new bloodwork done.

Update from last night: the poor kitty had a complete re**al prolapse and the tissue was necrotic throughout. The vet had to let her go.

Rest peacefully sweet girl...

This sweet kitty was found on SW Butte Dr in Hermiston. She was just brought to Oregon Trail Veterinary Clinic with a pr*****ed re**um. She appears to be a nursing mom as she has milk. If anyone in the area recognizes this kitty and knows where her babies are please contact me.

Thank you to the kind lady who picked her up and contacted us to get her care.

UPDATE: The vet just called about his bloodwork and it isn't what we were all hoping for. They have improved but very little. With them flushing his kidneys since yesterday the values should have improved by 50% but they didn't. He fears his kidneys are too damaged. They are going to continue for another 24 hours.
Say a prayer, send healing thoughts, good vibes, whatever. He is so young he deserves a chance at a good life.

I peeked in on this precious boy this morning. They said he ate which is encouraging. They haven't done his bloodwork yet to check his kidney values this morning but when they do I will update the post.

This precious boy, RJ, who was found out at the Westland ditch has been hospitalized. This poor baby is in kidney failure. Possibly from antifreeze. He is also anemic. His foot is injured from cheat grass infection. He was also full of ticks and is underweight. He has a fever as well and is being placed on antibiotics.

They are going to start diuresis to try to help him.
I wish we could have known the other day when he was rescued that he was in need of immediate vet care but when the foster said he was drinking excessively I thought it was due to dehydration. I had no clue.

UPDATE: Thanks to all the shares this sweet pups family has been found. Just as we thought it might be, they were camping and he got lost.

This Corgi was found outside of Dale Oregon by some kind people who were camping.
They can't keep him beyond tomorrow so he needs a foster.
No microchip. No collar but indent where the collar was.
Please share help find the owner.
