A nice like new baseball style hat was found in the library's front yard this afternoon near the edge of the road. We think possibly a farmer on a tractor lost it in the wind or someone leaning out their vehicle window. If you lost a hat in our area today, call the library at 989-642-8621 and describe the hat to claim it. It is like new!

Teens 5th-12th grade are welcome to come "hang out" at the library this Wednesday, October 14th after school from 3:00-4:30 pm for a new club just for them! Tech-Free Hangout is a new biweekly club designed to be a relaxing break from the pressures of school and social media. We'll have a variety of crafts, board games, puzzles, snacks, music, and more simple hands-on options to choose from!

No-sign up necessary, drop-ins welcome!

Excited! The library is very excited to share the news of the Hemlock Community Pep Club gifting us a grant to purchase 2 mini Yoto Players and 113 book cards! Yoto is a player with audio book format for kids letting them listen to books. They can even choose to follow along in a book has they listen to a title. The cards and players arrived yesterday and staff is working hard to get them ready for circulation and will share when available. Families will be able to borrow our player or if they have their own, they can borrow our book cards. We can't wait for the families to explore this new library collection. A big thank you to the Hemlock Community Pep Club for making this possible and help the library expand what it has to offer our community.

Join Miss Audrey for a toddler music & play group at the library on Friday mornings from 10:00-11:30 AM (come and go at your convenience)! Interactive songs, musical instruments, a chance for kids to play, share, and socialize and for caregivers to network!

Adults and teens ages 16+ are invited to compete in teams of 2-4 people to see who can finish their identical 500-piece jigsaw puzzle the fastest. The fastest team will win a prize!

It's that time of year! Our Toys for Tots boxes are out an you can see we've had donations already! If you want to help the program, bring in new toys (by Dec. 4) during the library hours of M, Tu, F 9a.m. - 5 p.m. and W/Th 1p.m. -8 p.m. Also, our Coats for Kids box arrived today and again, someone has already donated a coat! Bring in gently used or new coats during library hours by October 30.
