We have come to the end of our 50th CBS class year and the book of Psalms! Thank you, Lord, for bringing us Your Word through Community Bible Study! What a beautiful blessing to learn all about God’s steadfast love through the Psalms! King David and the other Psalmists expressed by poetry, prayer and song that God is in control, and through any storm, we can rely on His protection. When we face opposition, we can remember, pray, and praise God for all that He has done and know the battle is won by His vindication! King Jesus reigns over all the earth! As Psalm 150:6 says, “Let everything that has breath praise the Lord!” Hallelujah! This is our purpose, dear friends, to give God all the glory, and praise the Lord as His biggest, most enthusiastic super fan! As you enjoy the summer, praise the Lord!

Like the sea, the storms of opposition come from every direction—not just physically and mentally, but spiritually as well. Who is leading this battle and stirring this storm? 1 Peter 5:8 tells us it is Satan who opposes God's purposes. The good news is that Psalm 21:11 assures us that, “Though they plan evil against you, though they devise mischief, they will not succeed.” Our battle plan? Prayer at all times, in all things. Because Jesus defeated sin and death, we can overcome every storm, and prayer is our first line of defense. “Trust in Him at all times, O people, pour out your heart before him; God is a refuge for us.” Psalm 62:8.

As Christians, our life choices and salvation are a matter of free will, but those who don’t yet know the Lord, mistakenly think that when we say, “God is in control,” we’re saying that “God controls us,” but what love and glory would He have received from us if we could not *choose* His love?
