16 Years of Dedication. Talent Worth Celebrating!

This National Disability Employment Awareness Month, we’re celebrating Francisco M., who has been a dedicated member of the Lowe’s Regional Distribution Center team for 16 years!
Francisco consistently meets his productivity goals, communicates well with management, and works alongside his teammates with a positive attitude. His commitment and teamwork demonstrate the value he brings to the workplace every day.

Celebrating Value and Talent!
Every person brings unique skills, ideas, and strengths to the workplace. This October, EXCEED celebrates National Disability Employment Awareness Month by recognizing the contributions of workers with disabilities and the value of creating opportunities for talent to shine.
Through our Employment Services Department, we support individuals in pursuing meaningful work and partner with employers who recognize their abilities.
Celebrate talent. Open doors. Build stronger workplaces—this month and all year long!

Learning happens everywhere.
As part of National Disability Employment Awareness Month, we’re celebrating the value and talent of the individuals we serve—and the everyday experiences that help build skills for greater independence.
During a recent visit to Dunkin’, our Adult Development Center clients received a special behind-the-scenes experience and had the opportunity to make their own donuts.
The hands-on activity gave participants a chance to practice following directions, communication, task participation, and independence while engaging with their community. And, of course, they got to enjoy the results of their work afterward!

Experiences like these are about more than having fun. They provide meaningful opportunities to learn, participate, build confidence, and develop skills that can carry into employment and other areas of life.

Celebrating Value and Talent!

This National Disability Employment Awareness Month, we’re recognizing Luis G. and the dedication, reliability, and positive attitude he brings to his work at Pollo Campero in Lake Elsinore.
Luis’s strong performance as a dishwasher has earned him additional shifts, along with opportunities to expand his skills in the kitchen and at the cash register, showing his versatility and willingness to learn!
Beyond work, Luis is pursuing his driver’s license as he works toward greater independence and his personal goals.
Through EXCEED’s Employment Services Department, we support individuals in building their skills, pursuing employment opportunities of their choosing, and celebrate the talent they bring to our local workplaces!
Congratulations, Luis! We’re proud of your accomplishments and look forward to your continued success.

Clients at our Perris location are beginning an exciting new chapter with the launch of EXCEED’s Ready for Success curriculum.

During this eight-week experience, participants will strengthen the practical skills needed to prepare for future employment opportunities. Through hands-on activities, group discussions, real-life scenarios, and interactive exercises, clients will practice workplace communication, problem-solving, teamwork, decision-making, and self-advocacy.
The curriculum goes beyond learning about the workplace. It gives participants opportunities to recognize their abilities, explore their interests, build confidence, and apply new skills to situations they may encounter on the job and in their community.
Every new skill is another step toward greater confidence, independence, and opportunity. We look forward to celebrating everything our participants accomplish during their Ready for Success journey!

Continuing our Celebration of all our EXCEED staff that go above and beyond everyday for the individuals we serve! Today we send a huge thank-you to our incredible Transportation Team! Every day, they transport our clients safely to and from our program sites, ensuring they arrive safely, comfortably, and on time. Your dedication, care, and commitment to our clients make a meaningful difference every day. We truly appreciate all that you do!

We’re continuing our celebration of our Direct Support Professionals who make a difference everyday! Today we’re recognizing our second group of Vocational Trainers, whose dedication and commitment help individuals with disabilities develop valuable job skills, explore employment opportunities, and work toward greater independence.
Their dedication, encouragement, and commitment help individuals discover their strengths and reach their employment goals. We are so grateful for the meaningful impact they make every day!

Today, we’re shining a spotlight on the incredible Direct Support Professionals at our Hemet Adult Developmental Center!
Every single day, this amazing team goes above and beyond to empower the individuals they support to build confidence, develop new skills, and achieve greater independence. From self-care and community safety to daily living and functional skills development, our DSPs are there every step of the way!
