🚨 Human Trafficking Is Closer Than You Think 🚨Human trafficking isn’t just a problem “somewhere else.” It’s happening in our cities, neighborhoods, and communities — hidden in plain sight. Victims are often manipulated, threatened, or forced into labor or s*x work, stripped of their freedom and voice. It can affect anyone — regardless of age, gender, or background. That’s why awareness is key. Learn the signs. Speak up. Save a life.If you suspect human trafficking or need help, call the National Human Trafficking Hotline at 1-888-373-7888 or text “HELP” to 233733 (BEFREE). Available 24/7, confidential, and free. Feel free to call us at 726-777-1359.Together, we can shine a light in the darkest places. 💡

On Sunday, August 6th, 1989, at around 5:30 pm, Blanca "Elisa" Roberson left her residence at 431 S. Whitney Street to meet a friend at Kieberger Elementary School. The route she took was a routine 6-minute walk. However, Elisa never reached the designated meeting spot.

Her friend, after waiting for a short time, returned home and called Elisa's residence, inquiring if she had already departed. The family confirmed that Elisa had left as planned and should have arrived by then. Concerned, the friend decided to return to the school to search for Elisa, but was unable to locate her.

The family immediately began contacting Elisa's friends and neighbors, seeking any information. The neighbors next door reported seeing Elisa leave the house. Additionally, three individuals from the same household stated that they had encountered and conversed with Elisa as she walked past them on Goodnight Street. Two other witnesses later came forward, also claiming to have seen Elisa walking on Goodnight that evening.

Around 10 pm, the family contacted the police department, who dispatched an officer to take an official report.

On that same day, Elisa's father was working on a shrimp boat and required a radio communication before he could head back to Aransas Pass to search for his daughter. It took him a couple of days to return to Aransas Pass. Upon his arrival, he initiated his own search and investigation into Elisa's disappearance, even venturing into Mexico in his quest to find her, but unfortunately, he was unable to find Elisa.

Elisa was last seen wearing a light blue Mickey Mouse t-shirt and blue shorts.

We are currently engaged in a collaborative effort to gather insights from you, the virtual landscape and are actively seeking volunteers interested in partnering with us. As a former law enforcement officer, I recognize the importance of public involvement, especially in the digital space. Our objective is to initiate a dialogue with members of the virtual community who are keen to assist us in our missing person investigations. We believe that many of you possess unique talents and skills that could significantly aid in these cases, ultimately benefiting families in search of their loved ones.

This opportunity is entirely voluntary.

Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us through our website or if you wish to personally send me an email, my email is [email protected]

Thank you for your continued support, and may you be blessed abundantly! 🙂

Hi everyone! I want to take a moment to acknowledge the concerns some of you have expressed and some negative comments that have been conveyed about our organization in some Facebook groups. Your feelings and opinions are important to us, and we appreciate the opportunity to talk about who we are and clarify our mission.

Our mission at Project Absentis is to help law enforcement in their efforts to locate missing persons and collaborate closely with law enforcement agencies to ensure the safety and well-being of individuals in our community. We are dedicated to making a positive impact, and we have successfully assisted in locating some individuals, and in some cases bringing families back together and providing peace of mind to those in distress. We choose not to publicize our specific activities in order to safeguard the privacy of the families we assist, and to maintain the integrity of the cases we are handling with law enforcement.

We are a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that relies solely on donations to support our work. All of our team members, including myself are strictly unpaid volunteers, many of which are former law enforcement, and professionals who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of others. For more information about Project Absentis, you can visit our website at www.projectabsentis.org, where you can learn more about our work.

We encourage any questions you may have; we believe that open dialogue is essential for building trust and understanding. If you're interested, we’d love to share stories from families we've helped and the amazing volunteers who dedicate their time to our cause.

Finally, if you feel inspired to get involved, we invite you to volunteer or follow our updates. Your support and engagement mean a lot to us, and together, we can make a difference in our community.

Thank you for your understanding, and we look forward to connecting with you!
