What an incredible event some of our moms and sons were blessed to participate in this weekend as they helped lay flags at each marker at Ft. Sam National Cemetery in honor of the sacrifices made for our freedom. We are forever thankful!! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

The school year might be winding down, but our amazing young men and their moms are already working toward their service for the new year!

What a night to remember! Our end-of-year banquet was truly incredible as we celebrated our young men and all they’ve achieved over the past year. The growth and impact of our Helotes Chapter has been inspiring, and we’re excited for what’s ahead, as we officially expand to include all four grade levels.
We were honored to have an amazing speaker, Manny Diotte of The Ferrari Kid, who shared powerful insights on resilience, discovering personal strengths, and embracing what makes each of us unique.
A special thank you to our generous sponsors, Hyatt Hill Country, for hosting our event, RMD Photo Booth for the photo booth and fun props, and GOEN South for putting together such an incredible evening for us. Because of you, it was a truly memorable night for our young men and their moms. Seeing everyone dressed up and celebrating their hard work made it all the more special!

Nationals recently hosted their annual conference to kick off the upcoming year beginning May 1. We were proud to have two of our own new Helotes board member moms attend the summit and dive into all things YMSL.

Thank you, Lisa and Abigail, for representing Helotes and investing your time in learning more about your upcoming roles. We’re excited for what the next year holds and grateful to be represented by such dedicated women!

Our upperclassmen recently had the opportunity to participate in a hands-on car maintenance workshop. With guidance from several of our dedicated dads, they learned essential skills like changing a tire, jump-starting a battery, and checking fluid levels.

These are invaluable life skills for those already on the road, as well as for our young men who will soon be earning their licenses. We’re so grateful to the dads who took the time to share their knowledge and help prepare our students for the responsibilities of driving.

We were honored to welcome the Helotes Police Department to speak with our freshman boys about the dangers of drinking and driving, va**ng, and drug use. They led interactive stations that provided hands-on experiences and real-life scenarios, giving our young men powerful, practical lessons to carry with them into the future. We even got a special shout out from them!

We are incredibly grateful for their time, dedication, and commitment to educating and protecting our community. Thank you to the Helotes Police Department for making such a meaningful impact on our students.

The board held its final official meeting of the year this past weekend. Plans for the banquet are coming together, and we’re excited to celebrate an incredible year and recognize the outstanding contributions of our young men!
