Think you could handle the spooky side of ironworking? 🎃

Working high above the ground, sparks flying and massive pieces of steel moving into place might look like something out of a horror movie to some.

Now THAT’S some scary good skill. 💪

Happy Halloween from Ironworkers Local 44!

Ironworker and steelworker. Same thing, right?

Not quite.

Steelworkers are generally involved in producing and manufacturing steel and other materials. Ironworkers are skilled tradespeople who erect, install and reinforce the structural and architectural components that go into construction. Different trades. Different expertise.

The more you know about the work, the more you understand the skill behind being an Ironworker.

It’s training that prepares you for the work. Craftsmanship you can stand behind. Safety you don’t compromise. Opportunities to build a career. And pride in belonging to something bigger than yourself.

That’s what Union means to us. That’s Local 44.

There’s a lot more to Ironworking than what you see in a city skyline. Ironworking is a highly skilled trade with expertise that reaches more of the built environment than most people realize.

One trade. A whole lot of skill.
