In honor of Dolly Parton’s incredible legacy, her family has asked that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library. ❤️📚

It feels especially fitting that one of the best ways to honor Dolly is by continuing something she cared so deeply about—putting books into the hands of children and inspiring a lifelong love of reading.

Through the Imagination Library, Dolly’s impact will continue to reach children and families for generations to come.

Charlie Chalk with the Hazard VFW Auxiliary 7387 was our guest speaker at today’s meeting.
Charlie discussed the upcoming national event and the 9/11 Never Forget Traveling Exhibit coming to Perry County in April 2027. We are so fortunate to have this exhibit here!

Hazard Civic Fellows with the Appalachian Service Project spoke to Rotary today about their plans for a facility for volunteers to help when crisis hits, such as flooding. The Appalachian Regional Commission has awarded ASP $10 million for a needed facility. Speaking today were Dylan Carroll, Alex Combs and Kenton Dunn.

Hazard Rotary enjoyed hearing about Stacie Fugate (on right) and Hannah Hall’s travels to England with Rotarian Zack Hall. Stacie then ventured to Scotland where she had more memorable and wonderful experiences. We loved their stories and we were glad they had such a great time. Welcome home!

Sarah Fugate is the Business Programs Manager with SOAR—Shaping Our Appalachian Region. She told Rotarians today about services her office offers new businesses. She spoke about the need for child care among workers and how housing needs are recognized.
