helping families facing infant and pregnancy loss On August 12, 2009, our son, Robby, blessed us with his birth. Sadly, he grew his wings four short days later.

To honor his memory, we announce the start of "Robby's Rabbits". We hope you will join us by donating a new stuffed animal (especially a rabbit). Robby's Rabbits will then be placed in the aching empty arms of newly bereaved parents. Thank you!

On October 15, 2026, TEARS will gather at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, DC for our National Wave of Light honoring the babies who will forever be loved and remembered.

We’re extending our $1 registration so every family who wants the opportunity can have their baby’s name honored at this national event.

Your $1 registration includes:

• Your baby’s name on a luminary bag, with photos shared here on social media
• Your baby’s name read aloud during our livestreamed ceremony from our nation’s capital
• The opportunity to create a team in your baby’s memory

Fundraising is optional. If you choose to fundraise, your efforts help TEARS continue providing vital support and programs for grieving families.

Our goal is to honor 1,000 babies in Washington, DC. Help us make sure your baby’s name is among them.

Happy Birthday in Heaven, Robby 💙🕊️🐇
Today, you would be 17.
Seventeen. I honestly can’t believe it. This year feels especially hard because I can picture all the things you would be doing right now. You would be getting ready to start your senior year of high school, talking about your plans for the future, and probably counting down the hours of until you could get your driver’s license. I can imagine the excitement of that first car, the freedom of driving, and all the places you would want to go.
Instead, we are left wondering about all the moments we should have had with you.
You were only here for four precious days, but in those four days you became a part of us forever. Seventeen years later, there isn't a day that goes by that you aren't loved, remembered, and missed.
I wonder what kind of teenager you would have been. What you would look like at 17. What your personality would be like. What would make you laugh. Who your friends would be. What dreams you would have for your future. I would give anything to know those things.
Your brother, your family, and everyone who loved you have continued to carry your memory with us. You may not have gotten the chance to grow up, but you will always be growing in our hearts.
