No April Foolin'---Storm King Art Center opens today! Passes available at the library (available with active Haworth Library membership). A mere 43 miles north from the library. If you don't know: "Storm King Art Center is a 500-acre outdoor museum located in New York’s Hudson Valley, where visitors experience large-scale sculpture and site-specific commissions under open sky." FYI...Museum passes made possible by donations to the Friends of the Haworth Library.

Reminder-- Haworth's Townwide Garage Sale is Saturday, May 2! Register now at the library and pick up your very own personal special garage sale sign (see photo)...which will show shoppers that you're open for business on the 2nd (and your house will get a place on our official townwide garage sale map). The younger generation often gives a pat or a hug or a kiss to the “Haworth Paws” dogs at the Haworth Library (we’re lucky to have two, thanks to the donations of patron Seta Nazarian)…It’s hard to catch a photo of a hug in progress, but we had the luck of the Irish on St. Patrick’s Day.

Just finished making a little brochure about the origins of Haworth street names. It's 8 pages -- it's illustrated -- and it's only $3 (we'd at least like to break even with the printing cost). In 30 years, maybe you can sell it on eBay! Get yours now at the Haworth Library.

Just added to the Haworth Library's list of museum passes --- the Hudson River Museum -- and you don't have to go into Manhattan! There's art and music and family workshops and planetarium shows and Glenview -- the 1877 Gilded Age home that was, in fact, used in the HBO show "The Gilded Age."
Pass admits four for general admission. The planetarium show or tour of Glenview would be an extra $8 for an adult, $7 for a senior, $6 for a child. And -- the parking is free. Website: hrm.org
