Turning a missed concert into an unforgettable UCP-LI memory!

Janine, a participant in our Adult Services Program, is Barry Manilow’s number one fan. For her birthday, she and her family were supposed to see him live, but the show was rescheduled due to illness. Determined to make her birthday special, Janine's amazing family reached out to performer Dan Stevens to bring the concert straight to UCP-LI!

Thanks to them, Janine got to listen to her favorite songs surrounded by her friends and UCP-LI family.

Dan brought incredible energy, singing all of Barry Manilow's hits, and had our entire Adult Services staff and participants dancing along! We are deeply grateful to the Lamia family for their support in bringing this event to our Adult Services Program, and we thank Dan Stevens for coming and bringing the house down!

HELP US GET BARRY’S ATTENTION! Please tag Barry Manilow in the comments so he can wish his #1 fan, Janine, a happy birthday

Celebrate Freedom, Resilience, and Community.

Happy Juneteenth! Today, we honor a monumental milestone of freedom and reflect on the enduring journey toward true equity, justice, and inclusion for all people.

True community progress relies on creating a world where every individual is valued, empowered, and given the opportunity to thrive without barriers. It is a day to lift every voice, challenge inequalities, and ensure that independence and dignity are accessible to everyone.

As we reflect on the significance of this day, let us all recommit to advocating for a more inclusive, diverse, and supportive future for all.

Our UCP-LI Adult Services participants are always out and about enjoying regular community outings! We believe in fostering independence and self-advocacy every single day.

That is why we let our program participants take the lead by deciding exactly where they want to go, what activities they want to do, and what they want to buy.
