I am so happy to announce the SC Youth Council : Leaders of Tomorrow LI Pride Youth Is hosting their very first PRIDE Celebration 🥳

Wednesday June 5th 6:00-8:30pm

We are proud to honor Rusty Rose Joshua Chan Jerome Foster Lewis and Sarah Ecke for all of their outstanding accomplishments and advocacy 👏🏾👏🏾

Great Morning ,
Yesterday our Mental Health and Youth subcommittee had the pleasure of facilitating their first Mental Health workshop with a specific focus on athletes. We had the honor of having MaryAnn Pfeiffer CEO of Youth Enrichment Services and her excellent Team moderator the workshop.

The attendees were able to freely discuss the stress and pressures of being an athlete and how to overcome barriers and competitive mindsets and how manage a healthy school -sport balance.

Thank you to all the attendees and to the YES staff for all your help.

Evening Facebook Friends,
Yesterday the SC Youth Council : Leaders of Tomorrow Community Engagement Subcommittee hosted the first workshop of their “Beyond High School” workshop series.

The location was at Bridgehampton Child Care and Recreational Center

The workshop was facilitated by Ahkyra Jackson
The presenters were Marlene Mc Kinney the Chairwoman of the Community Engagement Subcommittee and a sophomore physics and pre-medical student at CUNY The City College of New York, Evita Marrow Diverity and Inclusion Program Manager of the Suffolk Couty Human Resource Department and Carolina Pimentel from the Department of Labor.

Together these three women discussed everything from improving your study habits and preparing for college, to how to apply for jobs and the job opportunities and test preparation for civil service job positions.

Before the night ends, we would like to thank our host Suffolk County Police Athletic League-PAL for such a great treat today !

They facilitated an amazing Youth Game Night 🙌🏾

We played Triva, Jeopardy, and Family Feud ! 🥳

This team building experience was so much fun. Not only did we get to bond with one another but we were challenged to use our brains and to think quickly on our feet.

We had a blast ! 💕
