Thank you so much for joining us this past Sunday for our first 5K! We are incredibly grateful for your support and for helping make the day so special!

It was truly an amazing event—the weather couldn’t have been better with sunshine all morning, and it meant so much to see so many families, friends, and supporters come out to run, walk, and support our mission together. The energy, smiles, and sense of community throughout the day made it incredibly special. Most importantly, it was a beautiful day to remember and honor our beautiful namesake, Rachel💜

✨ Board Member Spotlight ✨

Meet Danielle Sukoff! 💜📚

Danielle first met Rachel during her student teaching experience and immediately recognized that she would grow into an exceptional educator. From the very beginning, Rachel formed natural and meaningful connections with both her students and colleagues.

Danielle feels incredibly fortunate to have witnessed Rachel’s professional growth and later have the opportunity to work alongside her in a fourth-grade classroom. As co-teachers, they became like family—sharing not only the daily challenges and successes of teaching, but also building a deep personal bond. They often exchanged stories about their families, their love of travel, and their hopes and dreams for the future.

In the classroom, Rachel had a profound impact on every student she encountered. She created an environment where children felt safe, supported, and truly valued. Kindness was always at the heart of her teaching—a principle that has since become a cornerstone of Danielle’s own classroom.

Rachel believed in recognizing each child as an individual and was deeply committed to helping them grow academically, socially, and emotionally into the best versions of themselves. To this day, Danielle carries that mindset with her and strives to reflect it in her own teaching. Through Rachel’s guidance and the values she exemplified, students truly thrived and soared.

Meet Kareem Abdelmagid, Board Member & Director of Outreach of the Rachel Quinn Children’s Foundation 💜

Kareem and Rachel first became friends in middle school, and their bond quickly grew into a lifelong friendship. From a young age, Rachel’s kindness, warmth, and ability to bring people together left a lasting impression on Kareem, helping shape the person he is today.

As the years went on, their friendship remained a constant, built on laughter, support, and a genuine love for one another. Rachel had a special way of uplifting those around her, and that impact continues to live on through Kareem and the way he shows up for others.

Now, as a Board Member and Director of Outreach, Kareem is honored to help carry Rachel’s legacy forward—supporting children across Long Island and reminding them that they are seen, valued, and cared for. 💜

Alessandra Abbrancati, Secretary of the Rachel Quinn Children’s Foundation 🤍

Allie and Rachel first became friends in Kindergarten at Pines Elementary School and stayed friends ever since! Growing up around the corner from one another, they spent a lot of their childhood at each other’s houses after school and creating everlasting memories.

Rachel inspired everyone around her to be the best version of themselves, a quality that has shaped Allie into the person she is today. These are the same qualities Allie is committed to bringing into the Rachel Quinn Children’s Foundation, helping it grow and continue making a meaningful impact.
