Shining the Light of God's Love Since 1979 The community consists of persons of diverse ages, races, resources, and stages of life.

Established in 1979 as an outreach ministry of the Hattiesburg District of the Mississippi Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church, Edwards Street Fellowship Center serves an urban community on the southeast side of Hattiesburg. The ministry is centered on the commitment to strengthening families and individuals and meeting special needs in the community. The ministry of ESFC is made possible through the financial contributions of the Mississippi Annual Conference, area churches, and individuals. Volunteers willing to give generously of their time, knowledge, and experiences sustain the programs and services of the ministry.

What an incredible day! Last Friday, renowned Grammy award-winning songwriter, Hattiesburg native Craig Wiseman visited Edwards Street Fellowship Center. 🤩

Now residing in Nashville, Craig & his wife, KK, were joined by several of his lifelong friends who are part of the “81 Angels.” These friends are members of Hattiesburg High’s Class of 1981, as well as surrounding years. 💜💛

The group toured our food pantry & health clinic, with the day’s highlight being the presentation of a $10,000 donation to our ministry!🙌

We are abundantly grateful for the generosity & compassion of Craig & his friends. Their commitment to helping Hattiesburg is a beautiful example of our clinic’s slogan: Community Caring for Community. ❤️

“Teamwork makes the dream work!”👏

Several groups of hardworking volunteers — including these from Target & Coca-Cola — shared their time & energy with us over the past few days. They enthusiastically repackaged bulk food, stocked shelves, cleared the nature trail, decorated grocery bags, & lots more!

It’s a joy to be part of a community that’s so committed to helping neighbors in need. ❤️

(We’re sad we didn’t get pics of all the groups & individuals, but we’re grateful for everyone’s service!)

❤️🧸❤️🧸 We can {bear-ly} contain our excitement over this donation of 70 teddy bears for our food pantry families! Big ol’ bear hugs go to Osher Lifelong Learning Institute-OLLI at Southern Miss peer instructor Annette Sowell for organizing this thoughtful 🧸 drive in conjunction with her class about President Teddy Roosevelt.

This generous, compassionate donation from OLLI members is bringing big smiles to lots of little faces this week! ❤️🧸❤️🧸

A teddy bear drive at the University of Southern Mississippi is turning a childhood favorite into a little extra comfort for local families.
