☀️ Today, Project Ready joined the UCAOB Spring into Health Community Event in Brooklyn!

Together with Josephine, Amy Yang, Amy A and two amazing youth volunteers with developmental disabilities we shared information about developmental disability awareness and the programs and support services we provide for special needs families in the Chinese community.

It was a beautiful day filled with connection, learning, and community spirit. Thank you to everyone who helped make this meaningful outreach possible! 💙

Youth with disabilities and high-school volunteers worked together yesterday on “Aspire Kitchen” to make snowflake crisps, egg tarts, cabbage pork buns, and almond toffee — building confidence, vocational skills, teamwork, and independence along the way.
Every bake is part of their growth journey, and every community support means so much to our participants and families.

Another fun and meaningful day at Project READY’s Living Skills Training 💛

On March 20, our teens and young adults with developmental disabilities came together to learn, create, and grow — from exploring anti-Asian hate awareness, to making spring rolls, crafting “udon noodle” collages, and enjoying group dancing.

Step by step, we’re seeing growing confidence and independence 🌱

Welcoming the Lunar New Year with calligraphy, culture, and community 🧧✨

Project Ready gathered at Scarsdale Public Library for a special Lunar New Year art workshop. Together, our neurotypical youth, special needs youth, and local high school volunteers wrote “Fu” (福) and Spring Festival couplets—sharing traditions, creativity, and encouragement around the same table.

This was more than an art class. It was cultural heritage and inclusion in action.
