Yesterday, the Valley Springs Fire Department responded to multiple reports of large trees and power lines down throughout the district due to the storm. Personnel worked alongside the Boone County Road Department and Entergy throughout the night to clear roadways so electricity could be restored.

The Valley Springs Fire Department is proud to announce the arrival of our new Ready Rack extractor!

This equipment gives us an important new capability for properly cleaning and caring for our turnout gear, helping us reduce exposure to contaminants and better protect our firefighters.

Today is Volunteer Firefighters Recognition Day, and we're honoring the dedicated men and women who selflessly serve their communities.

Volunteer firefighters respond to emergencies at all hours, train year-round, and sacrifice time with their families to help others when they're needed most.

To every volunteer firefighter across the country: thank you for your courage, your commitment, and everything you do to keep your communities safe.

The Valley Springs Fire Department responded to the Bellefonte area for the report of a tractor fire. Arriving units found a fully engulfed tractor in a field. The fire was quickly extinguished and there were no injuries.

Come join us this Saturday at the Valley Springs park and learn about community resources! There will also be free hamburgers and hotdogs available and fun for the kids!

This Saturday, August 8th, the Town of Valley Springs will host an event. We will have hamburgers and hotdogs, chips, and water. We invite you to attend and visit with us.

Today, the Valley Springs Fire Department responded near the Bellefonte area for the report of a ditch fire. Arriving units found approximately one quarter acre of the ditch line burned. The fire was actively burning and in close proximity to a power pole. The fire was quickly extinguished, and there were no injuries.

08/02/2026

At approximately 11:30PM last night, the Valley Springs Fire Department responded to Everton for the report of a residence filled with smoke. Arriving units found a mobile home that was well involved. Harrison Fire Department, Western Grove Fire Department, and Pyatt Rural Fire & Defense were requested for mutual aid. Firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the majority of the fire. Overhaul was conducted to completely extinguish the fire. There were no injuries.

At approximately 5:15AM, personnel were at Station 1 cleaning equipment and placing Engine 1 and Engine 3 back in service. At this time, Western Grove Fire Department was dispatched to a mobile home fire in Piercetown. Valley Springs Engine 1 and Engine 3 responded as mutual aid. Arriving units found a mobile home that was actively in decay. Firefighters extinguished the rest of the fire. Multiple Newton County Fire Departments were on scene. There were no injuries.
