Thank you to TSTC-Harlingen, and Mr. Hector Rosa, for providing our students with opportunities to continue their education right here in the Rio Grande Valley! Mr. Rosa spoke on several programs of study, financial aid options and job placement at our Center this Monday evening. We had positive student feedback and look forward to welcoming him to speak again.

WE’VE BEEN KEEPING A SECRET!

Today is the start of our new Digital Literacy: Basic Computer Skills Course!

Due to high interest and very limited seating, we have no more available spots after everyone on our waiting list confirmed. Thanks to our volunteers and supporters, we will begin the first class of our 8 week course featuring North Star Digital Literacy today. If you missed your chance, don’t worry! We will open courses again for Spring 2027 and Summer 2027. If you are seeking adult computers courses, hands-on, in person, and with a live tutor, don’t delay! Call or email to secure your spot today.

Our Literacy Center is not just a place of adult learning, we are a community building that hosts events, meetings, community resource presentations and workshops. During these events we aim to provide hospitable accommodations with cold drinks and light bites. We recently had our refrigerator repaired but, unfortunately, we are in need of a replacement. You can help us by sharing the word as we ask our community for any businesses or individuals who are able to assist us.
