City of Copperas Cove Members!

Notice of Planned Water Service Interruption

Copperas Cove, Texas – The City of Copperas Cove has contracted with Bell Contractors, Inc. to install a new 8” water main along Ash Street, Yucca Drive, and continuing down the 400 block of Wild Plum Drive. The contractor is at a point now where an existing 3” water line needs to be abandoned in order to shift service over to a new temporary supply for affected properties. The process for this event will require water service to be temporarily discontinued so that the contractors will be able to safely execute this operation.

The operation will be conducted starting at 9:00am on Tuesday, October 27, 2026.

The areas of the City that will be affected are as follows:
• All of Ash Street
• All of Cedar Drive
• All of Yucca Drive
• All of Jennifer Circle
• 400 Block of Wild Plum Drive
• 501 to 507 Margaret Lee Street
*Additionally, the affected properties have already been personally notified of this planned water service interruption.

Interruption of water service to these locations is not expected to exceed 6-8 hours, barring any unforeseen issues arising. The Water Distribution Dept. will be onsite to assist the operation as needed. A boil water notice will be issued upon completion, and remain active pending lab results indicating that the water is safe for normal consumption. It is also recommended that Water Heaters be turned off during this time frame as well to help prevent any damage to the elements that may occur if water is lost from the tank reservoir. It is recommended that you request assistance from a licensed plumber if you are unsure how to do this.

The City sincerely apologizes in advance for this inconvenience and the disruption to your daily operations. Due to health regulations, food preparation and personal service businesses will be required to cease operations during the water service disruption period. Other business types can continue to operate during water disruption provided that measures are taken to ensure that basic needs (restroom facility options, bottled water for employees, etc.) are maintained.

AACT is on the move! Please be sure to update your records with our new address so you don’t miss any mail, payments, or correspondence.

Beginning November 1, you’ll find us in our new office at the Extraco Bank Building in Harker Heights. We’re excited for this next step. This move allows us to better serve our members and continue strengthening the Central Texas rental housing industry.

We look forward to welcoming you to our new space.

Amber received the prestigious Texas Apartment Association Presidential Award, presented by TAA President Mike Rust. This well-deserved recognition reflects her exceptional leadership, dedication, and lasting impact on our industry.

Amber has also been officially sworn in as the 2nd Year Vice President at Large of the TAA Executive Committee! In this important role, she will continue representing and advocating for the multifamily industry not only for AACT but across Texas.

What a great few days in Scottsdale, Arizona! 🌵☀️

AACT President Lisa-Marie McGaughey and Association Executive Kelly Vann had the opportunity to attend the 2026 NAA AE/AP Leadership Symposium, focused on “Leading Together — Building High-Performing Affiliate Boards Through Clarity, Partnership, and Strategic Leadership.”

We spent our time learning, sharing ideas with association leaders from across the country, and digging into ways to strengthen board effectiveness, clarify leadership roles, improve communication, and build an even stronger partnership between our President, Board, and Association Executive.

One of the best parts of opportunities like this is bringing those ideas and resources back home to AACT. We are excited to put what we learned into action as we prepare for 2027 and continue building a stronger Board, stronger leadership, and ultimately a stronger Association for our members.

Of course, Scottsdale gave us a pretty amazing backdrop for a little networking too! 🌵🌅

We’re coming home inspired, energized, and ready to get to work!
