Tonight, Hampton City Council recognized 10 of our uniformed and civilian members who deployed across five states from Virginia to Florida assisting in the preparation, response, and mitigation of Hurricanes Helene and Milton in September and October. These members represent two Federal teams (FEMA VATF-2 US&R and DHHS VA1 DMAT) and two regional teams (VCC Radio Cache and HRIMT). Their skills were used in search, rescue, HAZMAT, planning, healthcare, communications, emergency and incident management, and others. These members represent the best of the best in their specialties and were deployed for four to 20 days before returning home.

We thank you for your dedication to the Division, your craft, and to humanity!

If you have not logged into the Employee Navigator to check your health insurance today it’s the last day. YOU MUST DO SO OR YOU AND YOUR FAMILY MAY NOT HAVE INSURANCE NEXT YEAR!!! Do it today!!! If you have any questions text me and I will see if I can walk you through it. I will be at the burns until atleast after lunch but available to help after. When I went in Joe, Jaidyn or I had any of our insurance, if I had not checked we would not have insurance next year. Make sure to check today!!! It has to be done by 11:59.
