School nurses do so much more than care for bumps, bruises, and sick days. They are often one of the first people to recognize when a student needs a little extra support.

During the 2025–2026 school year, School Lunch Angels contributed $181.83 to the Nurses Pantry Project to help support students in Harris County Schools.

Sometimes something as simple as having access to a snack or an essential item can make a difficult school day a little easier for a child.

Helping a child doesn’t stop when the school day ends.

During the 2025–2026 school year, School Lunch Angels contributed $244.02 to the Harris County BackSacks Program, helping support efforts that provide food assistance to students beyond the cafeteria.

For some children, weekends and school breaks can bring extra uncertainty around meals. Programs like BackSacks help bridge that gap and give families one more layer of support.

One of the biggest ways School Lunch Angels supported Harris County students during the 2025–2026 school year was through lunch debt relief.

That number represents more than dollars. It represents families who received a little breathing room, students who could focus on learning, and a community that stepped up to make sure children were supported.
