One of the most special things about the Valwood experience is seeing students challenged to grow while knowing they have a community cheering them on every step of the way.

We’re grateful to hear how much one of our new students is enjoying his classes, growing through athletics, and building meaningful relationships with his teachers and coaches. From the classroom to the football field, our students are known, encouraged, and invested in.

This week in 5th grade math, students learned how to compare decimals and order them from least to greatest!

They started with a deck of cards, creating decimal values and playing a fun, fast-paced game to practice comparing them. After that, they took their learning to the next level by ordering famous MLB players’ batting averages from least to greatest!

For an extra challenge, students had to complete the activity without talking to their peers, which meant finding new ways to communicate, problem-solve, and work together!

It was a day full of movement, collaboration, critical thinking, and making real-world connections. Math is always more memorable when students can get up, work together, and have fun while learning! 💙🧡

AP Economics in Action!

Our AP Econ students stepped into the roles of households and firms for a hands-on simulation of the circular flow of the economy!

Households traded land, labor, and capital for income in the factor market, while firms used those resources to produce goods and services. Households then used their earnings to purchase those goods and services in the product market.

A fun, interactive way to experience economic concepts in action!
