Today, club president Luke Voigt "booked" a visit to the inaugural Bilingual and Art Literacy Program at the Johnston Lakes Library. The Valdosta North Rotary Club was proud to partner with the South Georgia Regional Library through a $1000 funding grant to kick off the program. This grant was in part funded by the Rotary Districts 6920 Literacy Grant. This will be an ongoing program to promote literacy, language, and art to our local children in a fun and safe environment! We are grateful to Miguel Vicente, Library System Director and Mercedes Iturralde - Program Art Teacher for their participation in the program!!

Danny and Heather have shared a Rotary friendship for more than a decade, building a strong partnership rooted in service, leadership and a shared passion for Rotary.

Recently married, they bring both personal and Rotary experience to their role as 2027 Float Ambassadors for the Rotary Rose Parade Float Committee.
Heather, a Past District Governor and veteran float walker during the 2023 Rose Parade, has experienced firsthand the excitement and impact of showcasing Rotary on a global stage.

Danny, who will serve as District Governor in 2027–2028, shares a deep appreciation for Rotary’s ability to inspire and connect communities through service.
Now serving their second year as Float Ambassadors, Danny and Heather are honored to continue supporting the mission of the Rotary Rose Parade Float Committee.

When your kids and grandkids are out there on the field putting their heart and soul into the sport, there are wonderful athletic trainers standing on the sidelines looking out for their health and well-being. Margaret Ligon is one of those, and as an athletic trainer she works hard to prevent injuries and to rehabilitate those who are injured. We are immensely fortunate to have Margaret part of our club, and today she gave an incredible presentation on what it takes to become an athletic trainer and what her job entails. Happy National Athletic Trainers month!
