The county Change for Change and Pull Tabs are due to the Extension Office by July 10! You can keep donating all year round, but if they are dropped off before then, they will go towards the competition at State Roundup.

Last week, several Logan County 4-H’ers competed in District Contests in Pryor. Good job to those that competed and hung in there for three long days!

One of last year's favorite events, Dairy Education Day/Homemade Ice Cream Contest is back! On July 11 at the Education Building, there will be an educational lesson from Langston University on dairy goats starting at 10am. Ice cream check in will be at 9:30am and will be judged at 11am. Educational booths will be available to teach and will be presented at 11 while ice cream is being judged.

Day 2 of Mini Roundup last Friday closed out the summer day camp. Good job to everyone who taught a class and thank you to those who helped put this all together!

Day 1 of Mini Roundups last Thursday went great! Youth had fun participating in educational workshops focused on a variety of different topics.

At mini roundup last week all the youth that attended participated in an outreach project. The outreach project was for Tenaciously Teal in OKC and the youth filled care bags, decorated bags and made cards to be handed out.

Quoting one of the Logan County 4-H'ers "Doing this makes me feel good, knowing that it helps other people and makes them feel good."

These 4-H'ers did the monthly STEM challenge at mini round up and made flying butterflies using magnets! Want to enter your 4-H'er in the STEM challenge? Follow the instructions in the monthly newsletter and send a photo of the 4-H'er doing the challenge to [email protected]. Magnet wands are available to be checked out at the Extension Office.

There is an ATV Safety Riding Course offered on July 9 at the Logan County Fairgrounds from 9am-12pm. This is offered to youth 10-18 years old, not just 4-H'ers. There are limited spots available, so make sure to sign up with [email protected] as soon as you can! Registration closes June 30. Riders must complete an e-course and sign paperwork before hand.
