Ever wonder what helps our native plants thrive?

The compost we use in our nursery comes from 's composting program! Huge thanks to Chase Cordova, Director of Sustainability, and his team for being such great partners this spring as we launched our Native Plant Initiative. We are grateful for our partners that share a vision for regeneration and resilience in Gunnison and beyond.

We're excited to turn local compost into native plants that will support restoration projects across the valley. 🌱

Rumor has it Coldharbour is the coolest place to hang out this summer. 😉

A huge thank you to all our awesome volunteers who came out on Sunday to help us pot plants for our native plant nursery. We are excited to get all these plant babies to their homes this fall at various restoration sites in the Gunnison Valley!

Our willow stakes have been soaking for over two weeks so today it was time to plant them!
We use a mix of compost, sand, and gravel to create the perfect soil conditions for the willows to take root. Over 300 down, only about 3,000 more to go🥵

Spring on the Ranch means we are resuming our boots-on-the-ground restoration efforts again. Last week the team harvested willow cuttings to be used in stream bank restoration / our new native plant nursery, removed invasive thistle, and monitored our restoration efforts implemented this fall! 🌱
