🍀 SEPTEMBER IS HERE — AND A NEW 4-H YEAR IS UNDERWAY! 🍀

There is a lot happening in Trinity County 4-H!

Be sure to check out our September Trinity County 4-H Connection for important dates, upcoming club meetings, enrollment information, livestock validation deadlines, county fair validation dates, and District 5 opportunities.

📌 A few important reminders:

🍀 4-H enrollment is OPEN!
We are using a brand-new enrollment system this year, so everyone must create a new account at tx4h.tamu.edu. When enrolling, be sure to select both a project and your primary 4-H club.

👥 Adult Volunteers: Required volunteer training information is currently being finalized and will be shared by the end of this week. Please watch your email for additional information.

🐄 Major Show Validation: Late heifer, sheep, and goat tag orders are open through October 20. Tags are $35 each and will not be ordered without payment.

🐓 County Fair Broiler Orders: September 16 from 4:30–6:00 PM at the Groveton Ag Barn.

📅 Be sure to check the flyer for your September club meeting date and all of the other opportunities coming up!

📣 MAJOR SHOW VALIDATION TAG REMINDER!

If you are planning to exhibit at a 2027 Texas Major Livestock Show, don’t forget that validation tag prices will increase beginning September 1!

🐑 Lambs
🐐 Goats
🐄 Heifers

Tag Pricing:
➡️ Through August 31: $30 per tag
➡️ September 1–October 20: $35 per tag

If you know you will need a validation tag, be sure to get your order in by August 31 to take advantage of the lower price.

📅 Physical validation will take place in October. Additional information regarding validation dates and requirements will be shared as it becomes available.

Please share with any 4-H and FFA families who may need major show validation tags!
