Well I wanted to clarify some information on the 100% property tax law that goes into effect in 2027. After looking into this law because what i was told at my Auditers office I wanted to make sure it was correct before I put it out. Here is the real deal.
Yes if you are 100% disabled Veteran you will not be taxed on your property starting next year. That is what has been put out and the is what everyone knows. I want to let you know so you have the 100% exact information so there is no arguments at the Auditors office and you know exactly what you are getting. With this your 100% only applies to your house and 1 Acers of you land. So if you have more then that you will be taxed on the remained of the land you own. It is a very large deduction so that is a big win for us Veterans. I just wanted people to know there is a little bit of a limit on there. Just spreading the information so everyone knows and it does not become a huge argument at some meeting around Indiana.

Hello, our followers! Just wanted to say thank you to everyone that came out yesterday and showed us support for the free cookout we did at Centra Credit Union in Greensburg. It was a hot one, and we all felt it when we were done. Thank you to Centra for allowing us to set up there and also to the volunteers that showed up to help out. Without you all, this would not have been as successful as it was. The American flag grill was won and donated back to us to use at another event. Thank you for that to the person that won it. I cannot put the name out there because I did not ask them if I could, and some people like to stay private. Keep following us; I know there is a fundraising motorcycle ride in the planning by a charity group for us on September 26, 2026, so mark your calendars, and I will post more information as I get it.

We are now on our final day. Tomarrow we will be giving out hamburgers and hotdogs at the Centra Credit Union in Greensburg IN from 9 to 3. Come by and meet us and see what we do for veterans not just in Decatur county but wherever we can. Make sure you get your ticket for the drawing of a patriotic American flag grill. You do not need to be present to win. We will call you. If you give a donation you will reciece a coupon for $1.00 off some ice cream from Sweet Surrender Ice Cream - Greensburg that will be set up at the State Farm lot just down the road. What else could you ask for. Lunch and dessert at a supper cheap price. Look forward to meeting you all.

I have some exciting news for you all. This Friday, July 17, 2026, at our cookout, anyone who donates money will receive a coupon for money off ice cream at Sweet Surrender Ice Cream - Greensburg.
