New property tax relief bill signed into law for disabled Hoosier veterans!!!!!

Important information for disabled veterans in Decatur county, Indiana.
I called the Auditor yesterday to find out about the procedure. - Ricky

AFTER July 1st 2026. Contact Decatur countys VSO Ken Mobley and then he will send you to the Decatur county Auditor to process your information. I hope this helps. Contact information and address are below.

The new law increases the property tax deduction for totally disabled veterans to 100% of assessed value, meaning they’ll pay no property taxes on their homes.

Put this date on your calendars. 17July2026 we will be doing a veteran cookout at the Centra Credit Union in Greensburg Indiana from 9 to 3. The address is 1803 N Lincoln St Suite A, Greensburg, IN 47240. We will be cooking up hamburgers and hot dogs for free. All are welcome not just veterans. I would like to welcome all our new followers. We are moving along, getting sponsors and things set up for events and gatherings so we can get to know the Veteran Community and their needs. We are planning fundraisers so we can meet those needs. Thank you for the support; it is greatly appreciated.

Was out representing the amazing non profit yesterday. 20,000 people were said to attend. While it was fun taking the kids to enjoy the free concerts, I still think about our local veterans that are not in the condition to leave home or needs assistance and gives me the purpose to give back and help those in need. As the temperature begins to get warmer keep an eye out on our page for our events of volunteering in our local community. Hope everyone had a safe and enjoyable Easter weekend. -Ricky

Hello my Veteran Army followers. I wanted to give a little update on what has been going on. With this weather we have been haveing. We have been doing some volunteering with the warming shelter in town and have checked on a few people to make sure they had what they needed to get by. We also went over and helped a veteran that needed some snow removed from his driveway. Sometimes there is not time to take pictures or videos of what is happening because we are to busy and have to get to the next project or person to help out. We are also not emergency services and can not just jump at a moments notice all the time. We will at some point do a interview with the people we helped to put the story out. I hope you all understand. It is not all about praises for us. It is about helping as much as we can. We will get the story out when we have time to get the story. Thank you all for your continued support.

As the weather gets colder we truly hope everyone is safe and has some sort of shelter or way to stay warm. There's been efforts to help homeless and we have helped some. They are sometimes hard to find. They try their best to stay hidden to avoid trouble.
