Parapsychology Foundation, Inc. The PF is a non profit organization dedicated to the scientific investigation of psychic phenomena.

It's primary mission is to support serious students and researchers in their work. In addition the PF strives to make available the best resources for the general public as well. The Parapsychology Foundation has a post office box in New York City and maintains the Eileen J. Garrett Library at 308 Front Street in Greenport, New York (out on the north end of Long Island) where the library is open b

y appointment. The PF also maintains five websites (all under redesign) and a YouTube channel called Parapsychology Foundation.

Exploring Alleged Anomalous Communication Across Neurotypical and Neurodivergent Individuals (IRB #8140)

UVA researchers are seeking participants of any age (minors must have parental/guardian permission) who have personally experienced, or are closely familiar with, forms of communication or awareness that seem unusual, advanced, or difficult to explain conventionally.

Participants may be neurotypical or neurodivergent, and parents, caregivers, close family members, close friends, or therapists who have directly observed these experiences may also be eligible to participate.

The study involves an online interview, which includes questionnaires, and an optional in-person case study visit for some participants.

Joseph Jastrow (1863–1944) was a pioneering American experimental psychologist and critic of psychical research, briefly connected with the early American Society for Psychical Research. He argued that telepathy, mediumship and occult claims raised problems of evidence, logic, coincidence, suggestion and belief, and in the end doubted their existence.

*Jastrow was a pioneer of experimental psychology in the US and the first president of the American Psychological Association.

*His collaboration with Charles S Peirce helped establish methods for testing subtle differences in sensation.

ADCs are distinguished from mediumship and other deliberately sought communications by their spontaneous and unsolicited character, and may involve sensed presences, dreams, apparitions, voices, touch, scents, signs or coincidences.
Research suggests that ADCs are relatively common and are frequently experienced as comforting or transformative, particularly in bereavement, although prevalence estimates vary substantially according to definitions and methods.
