Summer is rapidly going away. The Club has the following activities planned for September as we enjoy the beginning of a nice Fall.
Tuesday, September 8th will be our next Club board meeting at 7pm via Zoom. Jim Bricker N3JHB will issue an email to the board members concerning the agenda and the Zoom log-in.
Thursday, September 10th will be our operations night beginning at 7pm at the Lincoln Borough VFD 184 Social Hall, 4312 Liberty Way, Elizabeth 15037. We use the Club call W3OC which allows Technician and General Class operators to operate on all bands (Extra Class operators will be there to assist). If you or someone you know wants to learn more about operations, please come out and we will help.
Saturday, September 12th is the Club’s Hams and Eggs Breakfast. It will be held at the Butlers Golf Course Rock Run Inn, 800 Rock Run Road, Elizabeth 15037 starting at 9:30 am. Please join us for a great breakfast and great company.
Tuesday, September 15th will be our next Club meeting at 7pm at the Blaine Hill VFD Main Hall, 409 Oxford Ave, Elizabeth, PA 15037. IT IS ELECTION NIGHT! PLEASE TRY TO ATTEND IN PERSON OR VIA ZOOM FOR THIS IMPORTANT MEETING. If you are interested in running for office, please let Jim Bricker or myself know (the latest roster is attached with contact info). There will be 3 pizzas, cheese, sausage, and pepperoni! So, come hungry and vote!
September 19th is the start of the Technician License Training Class. It's at the Lincoln VFD 184 firehall in their meeting room. Classes run from 10am to 1pm. If you know someone who would like to get their Tech License please have them send an email to [email protected] or contact Jim Bricker or Jeff Monaco.
WORK PARTIES:
Saturday, September 12th following the Club’s Hams and Eggs Breakfast will be a WORK PARTY at the repeater site. The repeater site is behind the Lincoln VFD Social Hall where the Operations Night is held. The work party will begin at 11am. We will be digging the 4 corners and leveling the shed foundation blocks plus laying the 4x6 foundation beams.
Saturday, September 26th will be a WORK PARTY to start shed construction at the repeater site. The start time will be announced at the Club meeting. I will issue a follow-up email after the Club meeting.
