βœ… Opportunities for every player to improve and compete at an appropriate level

Whether your child is picking up a basketball for the first time or has been playing for years, THERE IS A PLACE FOR THEM AT WOAA!

Our goal is simple: Give every player the opportunity to develop, compete, have fun, and grow their love for basketball!

πŸ—“οΈ WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?

Currently, registered players are organized into TeamSnap "Pools" based on division, age, and location.

You will notice something new on your next visit to the WOAA facility! Our doors now feature new perforated film, bringing a modern, coordinated look to the facility also while serving several practical purposes. Thank you to Mastro Signs and Printing for assisting us with this project and your continued support of the WOAA.

The perforated film provides Privacy for our participants, reducing outside views into our youth activity areas. The entrance to the gym is now more Recognizable, providing less confusion for visiting families (and delivery drivers). Lastly, it’s a modern look that Brings a fresh, coordinated appearance that reflects pride in our organization.

We’re also proud to honor Charles β€œChuck” Lawrence by naming our Strength and Conditioning Room (more details on that in the near future) after him. Chuck has volunteered at the WOAA since 1977, giving nearly five decades of his time to our organization and the children we serve. Chuck is a wealth of knowledge and has been instrumental in assisting board members and coaches with any questions they may have or any assistance they might need.

We hope to see you here soon.

Reminder: basketball registrations are live until October 18th 2026!

πŸ€πŸ† WHAT A YEAR FOR WOAA 7TH GRADE BOYS BASKETBALL! πŸ†πŸ€

70 Games. 58 Wins. 11 Championship Appearances. 8 Tournament Championships!

What an incredible year for this group of boys! From middle school basketball through winter league and a long AAU tournament season, these boys put together an outstanding year!

πŸ”₯ 2025–2026 SEASON RECAP πŸ”₯

πŸ€ Middle School Season: 13–1

πŸ€ Westmoreland Winter League: 7–1

πŸ€ AAU Tournament Season: 38–10

πŸ’ͺ COMBINED RECORD: 58–12

πŸ† 11 AAU Tournaments Entered

πŸ₯‡ 8 Tournament Championships

πŸ₯ˆ 3 Runner-Up Finishes

πŸ”₯ CHAMPIONSHIP GAME IN EVERY SINGLE TOURNAMENT!

Eleven tournaments entered. Eleven championship games played. Eight championships brought home. That's an incredible level of consistency!

Throughout 48 AAU games, the boys scored 2,246 points, outscoring their opponents by more than 700 points!

But the numbers only tell part of the story.

There were big wins, tough losses, close games, long weekends, and countless hours in the gym. Different players stepped up at different times, and the boys continued to learn what it takes to compete, work together, and play for each other.

πŸ’š MORE THAN BASKETBALL β€” THIS IS WHAT COMMUNITY CAN BUILD!

This group is a great example of what's possible when community support matches the love, care, and commitment that families put into their kids.

When families, coaches, volunteers, and the community come together to provide opportunities, there's no telling how far these young athletes can go.

That's what we're working to build at WOAA.

As the core of this group prepares for its 8th grade middle school season, we're also looking ahead to more leagues, more tournaments, more seasons, and more opportunities to compete and grow.

And this isn't just about one team or one age group.

πŸ€ STAY TUNED!

We'll be sharing more about the other boys' and girls' teams throughout our program, highlighting their accomplishments, growth, and the opportunities being developed for them.

Our goal isn't to make every team the same or expect every group to achieve the same results. It's to meet each team where they are, give them the support and opportunities they need, and help take them as far as they're capable of going.

Whether that's learning the fundamentals, playing in a recreational league, competing in local tournaments, or pursuing higher levels of competition, we want to create a pathway for every child and every team to grow.

Every age group. Boys and girls. Every level of ability.

The success of this group shows what's possible, but the bigger goal is building a program where those opportunities exist for everyone.

A huge thank-you to the players, coaches, families, volunteers, and community supporters who continue to make all of this possible.

πŸ‘ 58 WINS. 8 CHAMPIONSHIPS. ONE HECK OF A SEASON!

We're proud of what these boys accomplished, but we're even more excited about what we're building together.
