Tommy's Feral Feline Friends Tommy's Feral Feline Friends It takes tremendous work and effort to place these homes in the woods. We also build numerous feeding cafes every year.

These forgotten feral's need shelters so my partner and I build numerous houses every year, which we stuff with hay and insulate with blue spruce tree limbs. These feeding cafes are where the food and water is placed and kept dry from inclement weather. When feeding we stay with the feral's until they are done eating so they can eat without fear of the predators. With our harsh Maine winters, these areas must be shoveled and kept dry; otherwise these animals couldn’t reach their food nor get out of their houses. We have 18 areas on the outside so when we have a blizzard we have to shovel several hundred feet to reach these feeders and cafes. One site is over a mile to shovel, in order to reach their houses and cafes . Some days we may start at 4:30 am and not finish for 24 hours.

HUNTERS FULL MOON

Last night Mr. Moon lit up The Magical Forest Kingdom with his brilliant glow.

The evening temperature was ideal for our full moon celebratory feast. Attendance was at its best with romance in full bloom permeating every being in the forest. This darling was savoring my full moon broth.

This was a special moment, because this precious angel was risking exposure and vulnerability, which took courage. It's a huge honor to be given this brief moment of trust.

I discovered one of the Babies not being herself several days ago. Every night I look for her to assess her well-being. Tonight I was grateful to see her keeping comfortably warm with the heaters I had left this early a.m. I added more this evening with a bowl of warm broth. Now I have to make a plan for my next step. I tried to get closer, but obviously fear won out.

By morning I will make my decision and hopefully there is improvement.

Prayers are needed with positive energy.

URGENT

Thursday is the BIG DAY for repairing the Babies heat monitors.

Financial assistance is needed for this long awaited project. Last year one monitor wasn't working and keeping the Babies warm was a constant worry and challenge.

The estimate for these repairs are unknown until we find out the problem. Also not known if it can be fixed with the possibility of new ones. Regardless they need to be checked. THURSDAY is the day.

The Minions

Last night they were parked at the entrance door cuddled together waiting for me. I believe mom gave strict instructions to not move until I arrived. Once I appeared the scenario quickly changed.

It was game night and I introduce the hand. As you can see she could care less only sightly amused. She then decided her entertainment was more interesting and exciting.
