Congratulations to Antrim Way Honda on winning the 2026 GABSA Rookie Division Championship!

What an exciting way to wrap up the Rookie Division season. These young players showed tremendous growth, effort, teamwork, and sportsmanship throughout the year, and their hard work paid off with a championship victory.

A special thank you to the coaches, volunteers, and families who supported these players every step of the way throughout the season. Your dedication helps create a positive experience and lasting memories for our athletes.

⚾️🏆 Congratulations to Our 2026 GABSA Baseball Champions! 🏆⚾️

As another incredible season comes to a close, we’d like to recognize and congratulate our division champions:

🥇 Major Division Champions – Green Bananas
🥇 Minor Division Champions – High Country Construction

These teams earned their championships through hard work, dedication, teamwork, and a love for the game. We are proud of their accomplishments and the effort they displayed throughout the season.

A huge congratulations also goes out to every player, coach, volunteer, and family who helped make this season a success. The growth, sportsmanship, and memories created this year are what GABSA is all about.

🔥 The excitement isn’t over yet! Tonight, we’ll crown our Rookie Division Champion as two deserving teams battle it out for the title. We encourage everyone to come out, support our young players, and help us celebrate another great night of GABSA baseball!

It has been made apparent that there are some concerns regarding All-Stars and the selection process for teams, specifically with the Rookie division. Last night a post was made on a community page that involved many comments from individuals within the community seeking answers and expressing concerns that the GABSA board was somehow changing the results of the coaches' selections. Several board members commented on this post but eventually the comments were turned off by the original poster. I wanted to take a moment to clear up a few things and make it clear that the GABSA board does not manipulate team selections or change the outcome of any decisions. Our policies and procedures are well documented and available on our website for review.

We understand that as parents we sometimes can let emotions run high especially when it involves our children. It's natural to want to advocate for them and want to take up for them when we feel they are being treated unfair. Rest assured GABSA only wants what is best for the youth and our community. As volunteers in a youth sports program, whether volunteering as a coach, or as a board member, we have the responsibility of maintaining a successful organization for the future of our community and the future youth who choose to participate in our league. We strive to be fair, remain transparent and consistent in all we do, but we also know we are not perfect. Rather than taking to social media and spreading misinformation or engaging in rhetoric that is potentially damaging to a youth organization, we would ask that you respectfully reach out to a board member directly to address concerns or ask for clarification on a process. As parents in our community, your opinions and ideas matter to us and you can also help make our organization better for the future.
