Maugansville Ruritan Club

We lost a former member last week. Mike Franse was an outstanding member and an all-around good guy. Condolences to his family and friends. He will be missed by all. His obituary is in the comments.

$829,000 of your tax dollars, back home in Western Maryland.

This Wednesday, the Board of Public Works takes up five projects across all three of our counties:

💧 Up to $334,000 to replace aging water lines serving homes around Frostburg.

🚒 $50,000 for the Oakland Volunteer Fire Department.

🚒 $70,000 for the Maugansville Goodwill Volunteer Fire Company.

🏊 $225,000 to renovate the pool at Marty Snook Park, with a new splash park and shade.

🥍 $149,890 for a new lacrosse field at Eastern Garrett Community Park and safer parking, paths, and lighting at the Grantsville Community Recreation Center.

Clean water, fire stations, and places for our kids to play. Western Marylanders send plenty to Annapolis. My job is making sure a fair share comes back.
