Only 10 Days until your chance to witness a truly MADcap Showcase! Join us on June 27 at 7pm for an evening featuring seven MADnificent scenes directed by graduates of the Director’s Workshop. Auditions for MAD 2026 Summer Children’s Show will be on Wednesday, June 24th at 6pm in the NASA GSFC Building 3 Auditorium! Sign up at www.madtheater.org.
The Rumpus in the Rainforest is the story of a frog in the rainforest who longs to see the sky, but with the thick canopy trees that is easier said than done. There are a lot of different creatures in the rainforest… but will any of them be able to help?
The show is recommended for those in elementary and middle school, but children of all ages are welcome! All children who come out to auditions are guaranteed a role.

We would like to hear from YOU! Do you have a show that you've always loved, but haven't seen it performed by MAD yet? Maybe something MAD did long ago, but you think it would do well a second time? If so, please fill out the Google Form below to help give our creative team ideas for future productions. MAD 2026 Summer Children’s Show!
After last year’s successful run of The Garden Show, MAD will be continuing this new tradition with another children’s performance. The Rumpus in the Rainforest is the story of a frog in the rainforest who longs to see the sky, but with the thick canopy trees that is easier said than done. There are a lot of different creatures in the rainforest… but will any of them be able to help?
The show is recommended for those in elementary and middle school, but children of all ages are welcome! All children who come out to auditions are guaranteed a role. Auditions will be held in the NASA GSFC Building 3 Auditorium on Wednesday, June 24th at 6:00pm.

Calling All Actors!
This Thursday, May 21, join a scene for our Spring Drama Showcase! We will meet at 6pm in Building 34, Room W150. Our scene selection group has curated a great variety of scenes and an assortment of directors. Joining a scene is a perfect way to flex your acting muscles without the commitment of a full production. Rehearsals run in June, with the showcase on Saturday, June 27. MAD will be hosting auditions for Little Women at 6:00pm in the Building 88 Visitor's Center on Tuesday July 14th and Thursday July 16th. Callbacks will be the following week (if necessary).
If you would like to audition, please fill out the Google Form at https://tinyurl.com/auditionslw to sign up. If you do not have a badge, please email [email protected] before Friday, July 10th to ensure the request is approved in time for rehearsals.
A full audition packet will be made available on the MAD website under the Member Services tab.
